Madonnas Instagram just popped up on my feed.

erm.

is it genuine? She has had so much work done that she looks about 25 - in the pics - I imagine in real life it looks kinda weird.

and it all seems to be some kind of weird porn inspired vibe - but in a very clunky and unsubtle way.

I am genuinely shocked. I haven’t really seen anything of her for quite a while.

is this a surprise to anyone else or have I been totally out of the loop??

Madonna has always used sex to sell. She even had book published called ‘Sex’ that was bordering on pornographic. And an album called Erotica.

I just looked up her Instagram. I agree with you, I wouldn't have recognised her. She actually looks great in the photos but they're so posed and filtered, I can't imagine she looks the same in person.

I saw some photos of her on a 'news' item today and she looks unrecognisable to me. She does look great, but it's a bit odd when you know she's 64. I mean, she looked wonderful for her age before, but now she looks like a different person.

I was surprised when I saw her recently (online of course!). I thought she looked fab around the time she turned 50 and did that roller skating music video, I think it must be hard to refrain from having "tweaks" when you're as famous as she is. I hope she's happy though, I think that's the main thing.

I think she's ageing /living pretty much how everyone who's ever heard of her would imagine her to be.

not that she was so subtle and esoteric before - but it just seemed to me to be so formulaic. And very much the opposite of erotic…

OK, I just looked at her IG and, wow. It makes me a little sad, as though (in her eyes, possibly) visibly ageing is a bad thing.

A quick Google shows recent photos of her at New York Fashion Week this month looking nothing like she does in her own Instagram photos.

She certainly doesn’t look happy.

I think she suffers from a lot of physical pain which I think you can tell from how she holds her body.

i think her tours etc really were physically grueling

It’s all filters. She doesn’t look like that in real life. It’s very sad she won’t pose without a filter. She always wears gloves because the filters don’t hide her hands

Me too. I could just imagine her looking similar to her Ray of Light stage, with long wavy grey hair, living on a big ranch with all her kids. She was utterly gorgeous, and she would have aged gorgeously too. I wish she could have believed that.

She was the coolest girl in the world.

IIRC she needed a hip or knee replacement prior to Covid. Not particularly sexy!

But isn't she in her 60s now? And to be fair most of her peers (Prince, Micheal Jackson and Whitney) are dead. I think what's most sad is that her music has been a bit shit for a while.

A lot of the pictures a such heavy filters and make up she just looks very generic - not like her. But there are a couple where I could see it was her, so hopefully a lot of it is just weird filters and stuff.
