24th September - dooms day... what?!

So we are currently away on holiday, just spoken to friends back home who asked if we had heard about this viral 'news' (I put that lightly)

Apparently on 24th September, there is going to be a large, catastrophic world event in which everybody will remember exactly where we are and what we were doing at that exact moment.

Does anybody else know anything about this?! Maybe I'm just blissfully unaware!

Well if it’s doomsday no one gonna be here to remember it so………..

Best not be, I'm going on my first holiday in three years on the 28th lol.

stuntbubbles · 23/09/2022 21:23

Isn’t it going to rain tomorrow? They’ll probably cancel whatever it is.

Alwyays4Brenner thank god x

Thank you at least safe now home wise and the lovely people there said ‘we’ll see what miracles we can do with furniture and bits’

Boxowine · 23/09/2022 22:16

It's nice to have a little advance warning.

Quackpot · 23/09/2022 22:38

The world ended years ago, didn't you know? It happens every few years. 🤣

LemonsOnSaleAgain · 23/09/2022 22:42

Ah well.

I think I will have a lie in anyway.

Notlosinganyweight · 23/09/2022 22:42

Plan to do the weekly shop tomorrow. Never imagined spending my last minutes in Aldi, but at least the booze and chocolate sections would be a free for all. The centre aisle of tempting shite would be pointless though.

Notlosinganyweight · 23/09/2022 22:44

And do we need to account for time zones too? I mean if it is happeningin the early hours in the far East it wont be the 24th in the west will it?

KingCharlespen · 23/09/2022 23:25

No point in doing any housework tomorrow then.

Novum · 23/09/2022 23:27

I guess I won't bother with that vaccination appointment, then.

StrandedStarfish · 24/09/2022 00:27

It’s my birthday. That’s seismic enough

vodkaredbullgirl · 24/09/2022 01:04

Still here and still doing a night shift.

The day is yet young!

Mothership4two · 24/09/2022 04:26

It's not much of a prediction is it? It's just same old same old. There have been quite a few catastrophic world events just in this year alone.

DH and I were going to have an evening out alone for the first time in months - bugger

24th September 2022 - International Rabbit Day, World Bollywood Day, and in the US, National Ghost Hunting day and National Punctuation Day.

So, this could be the day the Spelling Nazis finally take over, led by the undead spirit of a long lost Hindi singing and dancing while dressed as Bugs Bunny..

Stranger things have happened.

No but I'm in Oz and we're only a few hours behind NZ.

'Earth Died Screaming', Tom Waits?

Cheery little number for a family singsong.

Tomorrow from Annie? Some of us might survive….. which leads nicely into my second suggestion.

TimBoothseyes · 24/09/2022 11:57

My sister lives near (well an hour and a half away but that's "just down the road" in Aussie terms), Wollongong in NSW and I've just spoken to her. If armageddon has happened today then Australia has been spared.

loislovesstewie · 24/09/2022 12:13

I've just bought some new make up so I can go out in full slap.

catandcoffee · 24/09/2022 13:08

Do we have a rough time it's expected ?
😇
