For those following this existing thread: www.mumsnet.com/talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/4635864-tradesperson-inviting-people-into-my-home?page=1 aka the tale of the fluffy blanket and the dodgy electrics thread, it continues here.

Nothing new to add at the moment though, but the previous thread is almost at capacity.

Where is the clock /camera from? How does the feed work? Is it battery operated. Soooo many questions. This post better be here tomorrow! 🍷🍾I need to re-read!

I bought mine from Amazon although I'm sure you can get them from other sites. The camera lens is in the 1 of the number 10. It's battery operated (1 AA battery), lasts about 8 hours, give or take, on motion capture mode (I never tried it on the constant recording setting. It records to a mini SD card you insert in the back. Fully chargeable via USB cable.

OP, how did he react to the fact that you had been filming him inside the house?

I loved Line of Duty and actually, working in anti-corruption would have been right up my street I reckon. However I left and eventually returned to university to complete a degree in English Lit (hence my verboseness) and who knows, maybe there is a future with crime fiction waiting for me! 🤔😉

Yes! Yes 🙏

Honestly, he didn't question it. He asked to take a photo of my evidence but I politely declined and said no thank you.

I'm off to bed now my fellow Mumsnetters. I'll more than likely sidle off into another obscure username based on an inanimate object found around my house. If you ever see a sarcastic comment in another thread, it'll probably be me.

But it’s maddening to think how many people he’s ripped off doing this

That spy camera has me spooked. I'll never feel safe in an airbnb again!

Thanks for such a conclusive and thorough thread OP. I am satisfied, and that's very rare here!
