AIBU?
Who is going out tomorrow?
fizzypop100 · 18/09/2022 18:26
I have no interest in watching the funeral. Going to cook breakfast for DS and ho over to my mum's (2 buses). I will enjoy the empty buses and quiet streets with a walk through the city centre on the way there. Just trying to find out if anywhere will be open for a takeaway coffee.
Anyone else ?
Crunchymum · 18/09/2022 18:29
We are going to watch the funeral but we may go out for a canal walk later in the day. We've had a busy weekend though and have loads to do for the coming week so we could just as easily stay in. We'll see.
We made plans for Saturday and Sunday on the basis we'd have to Monday to get on top of things.

We’re doing a long walk with a pub lunch booked halfway round. Will watch the highlights of the funeral on the news in the evening.
Yeahrepublic · 18/09/2022 18:30
Yes, we're going out. I'm really hoping the countryside is quiet and a pub is open.
Mummydoingmybest · 18/09/2022 18:31
wont be watching funeral or highlights as really don’t care! So park and beach probably
CrabbyCat · 18/09/2022 18:32
We'll be staying at home not to watch the funeral but because I haven't found anything DC suitable open!
PornographicPriestess · 18/09/2022 18:32
I'm off work with a bad back so can't go anywhere but I certainly won't be putting the bloody telly on.
DH is self-employed and is going to work as normal tomorrow so it'll just be me and the toddler at home like it was any other day.
Badtasteflump · 18/09/2022 18:32
will watch the highlights of the funeral....
Sorry but 😆
Prinnny · 18/09/2022 18:33
Nope, well I’ll have to take the dog out at some point.
Otherwise we’ll be watching the funeral followed by afternoon tea (which DD3 keeps calling the jubilee party despite many explanations 🤦🏽♀️) with Prosecco.
It’s what she would have wanted. Cheers Ma’am 🥂
DashboardConfessional · 18/09/2022 18:34
All the coffee chains here are closed like Christmas Day so you'll have to find an independent!
We may go to the park.
neverbeenskiing · 18/09/2022 18:35
We'll probably go for a long walk in the morning (if it's not pouring with rain) and then we've got friends and their DC coming round for lunch. Once we've eaten we might take the kids to the park if the weather is good but if not they'll play boardgames or something. None of us have any interest in watching the funeral.
FionnulaTheCooler · 18/09/2022 18:35
Will probably watch the funeral up until lunch time and then if the weather is decent I'll take DD out for a long walk in the afternoon, like we used to do during lockdown when everything was shut.
Coasterfan · 18/09/2022 18:35
We couldn’t find anything open and we aren’t near the beach either so we have bought lots of snacks and are having a movie day, we have picked one each. I will probably watch the funeral but DH and DC2 aren’t interested and DC1 thinks it’s disgusting the money that has been spent and is refusing to watch!
Thesearmsofmine · 18/09/2022 18:35
We’re going away to the coast for the week. Kind of annoying that the shops are closed so we’ve had to go out and buy food to take with us but at least it’s forecast to be dry so we can enjoy the outdoors as everything we had planned is now closed for the day.
AsanteSana · 18/09/2022 18:35
Me! Taking the honey off my bees first thing then going beach fishing for the rest of the day, prior to starting a new job on Tuesday

Sure the buses are running?
Why wouldn't they be? People still need to get to work.
Buses are running on a Saturday or a Sunday service here.
Knittedfairies · 18/09/2022 18:37
I've got a dental appointment; they rang to confirm they will be open.

Sure the buses are running?
They will be in most places unless you're rural, essential workers will still need to get to work. I live in a city with one of the biggest hospitals in the country, the buses are running a Sunday service.
Juanmariaramierz · 18/09/2022 18:38
Why wouldnt you go out....if you were a catholic like me living in belfast in the early 70s then this pile of shit would mean nothing....and if you never lived in belfast then dont dare comnent without proper knowledge
Roselilly36 · 18/09/2022 18:39
Buses may be more difficult tomorrow, if you are relying on two, I hope the connection works out ok for you. I would take a coffee from home in travel mug/flask unless you want to have coffee in a pub OP.
neverbeenskiing · 18/09/2022 18:39
DC1 thinks it’s disgusting the money that has been spent and is refusing to watch!
I'm with your DC1.
Fairislefandango · 18/09/2022 18:42
I'm not going out (except for a dog walk) because I've got too much work and housework to do, but I won't be watching the funeral and wouldn't see any reason not to go out!
Ilikewinter · 18/09/2022 18:45
We're going on holiday so have a lovely 3 hour drive across the country......really hoping the roads are quiet and not like a 'normal' bank holiday.
