Ok, so this will probably get called a stealth boast, and maybe it is a bit, but I am so delighted that I have to tell someone!
It has been a shitty week. Expensive and seemingly never-ending house maintenance problems, work stress, dd's exam stress, worries and frustrations about an elderly relative etc.
I stayed in the office late this evening to get some work done. DH is overseas at the moment so it is just me and 17yo dd at home. I knew I would be coming home to an empty house because dd had a party to go to. All fine.
I just got home and she has tidied the whole house from top to bottom. 
Hoovered upstairs and down, wiped surfaces... she even made my bed! And there are even fresh flowers!
So lovely to come home to a tidy house!
