CF Have come to stay - The morning after

The first thread is full so I'll start a new one, in case there is a dramatic update in the morning.

I actually feel emotionally drained right now. I keep almost crying. Pathetic. Probably the wine thats doing that.

I'll be going to bed shortly and i'll update tomorrow if theres anything to add. I reckon they will be up early and go quietly though.

They don't drive a ford ranger (I remember that thread! haven't looked at a ford ranger driver the same since!) Its a bmw something or other.

Dp cleared up the kitchen and 1 dc (dd19) came down and helped, so thats all good. She then came out, gave me a little hug and said DP had explained about the food. She then lit up and offered me a cigarette (WTF! I don't smoke and although had an inkling wasn't sure she did) and said no ones perfect, everyone has failings. Honestly i'm in a parallel universe tonight.

Dp has put most of the beers away in the garage, just left in the fridge what was there. I do wonder if they will take them home.

Thinking about it, you've been very restrained not chucking them out there and then. They would have had ti get a taxi and book a room for the night. Absolutely incensed. I would send them a bill for their stay.

I can't fathom who would invite themselves to someone's home and treat it like an all inclusive hotel, making no contribution whatsoever (especially when the hosts are working).

I’d set an alarm for very early o’clock, way before you think they’ll rise, for the reasons stated above.
Offer no more than a few slices of toast.
Hurry them out. At the exact second that they step foot beyond your threshold close the front door very quickly and firmly.
Don’t feel guilty. They’ve been appalling.

I agree with this. Leave them a couple of croissants and a scraping of butter. Otherwise they'll twist it around and blame Seriously for kicking them out (early probably as I bet they had a week or two planned there) and then stealing all the croissants and the nice butter they'd bought for their hosts alongside an expensive steak dinner which they'll claim was overcooked on purpose to annoy them.

The whole part of thinking they'd be reimbursed and the full extent of their CFery will of course be left out of the story as they tell it.

Given you're about the third person to answer her, I'd assume her reading skills are up to figuring our that "fucker" means "fucker".

I've just read this to my husband and we have been so invested! Really hope you have drank all the wine. I'd be tempted to tell them the kids ate the croissants so sadly they don't have them for breakfast.

Assuming you're south west way if they've got a 4 hour drive back to the midlands. I hope the m5 is not kind to them tomorrow

Just read your updates on the other thread and I have to say op I really like you and your dp!! You sound very nice. I was actually in my mind cheering on dp when he said that he binned the receipt and would they still need it. I can totally relate. I don't like confrontation but I also don't like being exploited so I'd have felt terribly upset as well. I hope they'll leave tomorrow without a fuss!!

However, I thought the point of using an acronym in this particular this is because not everybody likes four-letter words spelled out. You've just done so. Twice. It isn't necessary and it's offensive to some.
