How can people be so ignorant and not get headbutted on an hourly basis is beyond me!!

My lovely boss is a very overweight man and recently some similar idiot came into where i worked and started on him.Poor guy just sitting at work and this complete arse just trys to embarass him. I was serving in the shop and when he got to the front of the queue i smiled ignored him and took the goods
from the man behind and pointed to a sign we have up re. not tolerating abuse. He had to walk past a very long queue out the shop, which i hope was very humiliating for him.

I bet he has a lovely time on top of his miserable boney lettuce eating wife. Barstard.

mylovelymonster · 20/01/2008 22:37

When people make comments they're just doing it to try and make them feel better about themselves, when they seriously have issues of self loathing and inadequecy - trying to divert others attention to someone elses supposed shortcomings so that their own failures go unoticed. He probably has a very small willy. Just ignore, pity the poor man and save your energy to enjoy your meal/shopping/jogging. They're just not worth it, ladies

ROSEgarden · 20/01/2008 22:40

Wanker...he obv has severe issues with himself to HAVE to say something so pathetic..and even then in fornt of his wife and kids..a bloke once did this to me not so long ago in town(night out) with his other half..i turned round and looked at him (being a fat fucker himself..so was his wife!) and said i feel sorry for you and i feel more sorry for her you misguided apthetic twat!...i felt much better!

i was in a restaurant having dinner iwth a gf about 2 years ago. tables closely squished together so we couldn't help ovehrearing couple on next table who were clearly on a first date. she was v attractive slim in her 40s, he was also v attractive and much younger. she spent the whole 2 hours giving him a rundown of how slim she has been at various points in her life and pointing out that her current size 6 was BY FAR the fattest she had ever been.

then my friend (size 14/16 ish) had to get up to go to loo, so stood up and said to them "i'm sorry, could you please move your table so i can get my INCREDIBLY FAT ARSE past it?"

really made me laugh and the woman's date too.

hope that helps!

Some of us have to live with those twats. My mum and I were walking through a park a couple of years ago and a larger lady walked past us eating an ice cream. Mother patted her on the arm, smiled nicely and said: "Do you really think you should be eating that, dear?" and walked on. I wanted the ground to swallow me up, I swear.

(OK, so I don't actually live with her anymore, but YKWIM?!)

It is true that my 6 stone mother does ishyoos with food and weight, but even so - she should also learnt to keep her cake hole shut.

smeeinit · 21/01/2008 10:38

oh smartarse how for you!

betterhalf · 21/01/2008 10:39

Some stupid idiot did this once when I was out with my FIL and family having a meal. We were having a carvery and this silly litle man said ' We'd better be quick or they will be no food left'. I was infuriated. No thought as to whether any of us could overhear. Apparently if you're fat you also are deaf right? Doesn't know a thing about my FIL and what a nice genuine caring person he is. He just was looking at the outer shell and being critical. HIs kids were there lapping all the negative comments up. What a sad pathetic loser if he has to get his kicks out of ridiculing someone he doesn't even know.
I find that type of behaviour repulsive, and completely unnecessary.

SmartArse · 21/01/2008 10:40

And deeply unpleasant for the poor woman trying to enjoy her ice cream.

Sadly, mother is "a bit of a one" when it comes to saying EXACTLY what she thinks.

smeeinit · 21/01/2008 10:46

betterhalf...yes apparently anyone over a size 14 is also deaf!

God this thread has got me all riled up!! My own MOTHER told me I was fat and needed to lose weight on xmas eve (OK i am fat and i do need to lose weight) but FFS id just spend 2 days preping the house and food for her and in laws to come and celebrate DDs first xmas. She could have just shut her ample gob and told me on boxing day instead

SmartArse · 21/01/2008 14:43

Don't worry, Mumbear, my mum is always telling me I'm fat. I'm not particularly, could just do with toning up a bit.

I don't give a monkey's bollocks what she says to me, but I draw the line when she tells my DD1 (13) that she's overweight (she's no stick but she's not exactly massive either) and telling my DD1 (who looks like a stick of asparagus, although not green, obviously ) that she shouldn't eat this and that "it has fat in it, you know". DD2 is heading the same way her grandma is, unfortunately, to a future of eating disorders.
