Prince George went with Kate and William to watch a match.. What a shame Princess Charlotte isn't there...!

OP posts:
SmellyToilet · 31/07/2022 20:02

What a great match! Are England in the World Cup next year?

CbaThinkingOfAUsername · 31/07/2022 20:03

Perhaps she didn't want to go...?

Moonmelodies · 31/07/2022 20:04

Maybe she did want to go, but had been too naughty.

Blossomtoes · 31/07/2022 20:05

I expect she’d be bored witless and chose to stay at home.

Northernparent68 · 31/07/2022 20:14

It’s really tragic being upset a 7 year girl is n’t present.

JenniferAlisonPhilipaSue · 31/07/2022 20:14

Catherine was at another engagement, William was there to hand out the medals and trophies, so who would have watched Charlotte? A nanny? That would have looked great. And as PPs have said, maybe she's not fussed.

starfishmummy · 31/07/2022 20:25

Maybe the Football Association or whoever organised it didn't invite the children.

Livelovebehappy · 31/07/2022 20:29

Most little girls don’t like football. Fact. She may have been given the opportunity, and declined. Or should she have been forced to go just to appease the masses?

TonTonMacoute · 31/07/2022 20:30

Imissprosecco · 31/07/2022 17:38

There's a difference between wishing the team well and actually wanting to go. I'm sure if she'd wanted to go they would have taken her

This!

Im so excited they have won and in fact feel really emotional about it.

Did I want to watch the match? No thanks, I’m not a football fan and find it quite boring compared with the sports I am interested in.

OhMammaMia · 31/07/2022 20:37

Didn't they take George to the men's final where they got their arse kicked by Italy? Shame the women's wasn't important enough to take him, he could have seen a winning team

pollymere · 31/07/2022 20:37

I only saw William on his own during the game.

What's wrong with you? 🙄

nokidshere · 31/07/2022 17:59

Well I wish them well but I'd never go to any football match, can't think of anything more boring, except maybe F1

🤣
Same here.

Googlersanonymous · 31/07/2022 20:44

The ownership felt over those children is really interesting. Presumably the royal family expose them to a certain amount of public events but they should be minimal, given their age.
The media do no favours by lip reading etc and just being so intrusive.

ValleyOfSomewhere · 31/07/2022 20:44

"To think Prince William could have brought Princess Charlotte to watch the football?"

Passive aggressive are you OP?

Perhaps he could have. Perhaps he could have taken some keys to a car, got her to change her shoes and socks and driven her to the match. Or perhaps Princess Charlotte had other things to do? Perhaps there is a reason why she was not there.

Is malicious gossiping how you run your own private life?

MassiveSalad22 · 31/07/2022 20:46

Maybe the royal kids had a sleepover or an exciting and tiring day, or something more fun or are ill. Obviously great the team won but when you’re a kid you may have greater priorities. William and Kate seem to be praised often as being more relaxed and realistic parents than previous royal parents so it’s not out of the realms of possibility that they decided against wheeling the kids out for this.

onlythreenow · 31/07/2022 20:49

What on earth has it got to do with anyone but the family? She might not like football, she might have been doing something else at the time. I certainly wouldn't have wanted to go to a football game - any football game - at her age. What a ridiculous post!

Somethingneedstochange · 31/07/2022 20:54

Prince Lewis isn't there either just saying.🤔🙄🤷

FeelingwearyFeeelingsmall · 31/07/2022 20:57

I would pay good money not to attend a football match (or tennis tournament or rugby game or athletics meet etc). I love participating in sport but find watching it soul sappingly dull. I would much rather read a book or watch paint dry. Maybe Charlotte is the same?

LoveMuscle · 31/07/2022 21:02

Kate probably took the kids away and told William to eff off for a few days , until he gets his lawyers to get all recent rumours removed.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 31/07/2022 21:22

i did wonder where George was myself

presumably busy

They haven't officially qualified yet

It has been reported that Princess Charlotte is keen on football but who knows if that is actually true! At the end of the day she is a child and I don't think she should be made to do lots of 'engagements' at her age. The good luck video was very sweet.
