Prince George went with Kate and William to watch a match.. What a shame Princess Charlotte isn't there...!

If it was all about sexism how come Kate was there . Think people just it to look for thinks that aren't there how sad .

TheCrowening · 31/07/2022 18:22

I’m sure she’d have asked if she wanted to go.

GinGella · 31/07/2022 18:23

I'm not sure I would take my young child /children to a football tournament when I had been trending on twitter for pegging all week.. who knows what chants could be waiting. I wouldn't take the risk..

CallmeAngelina · 31/07/2022 18:23

Maybe they wanted to protect her from the type of vitriol George attracted for being put in a suit )as per protocol at Wimbledon and Wembley.

Nadjamydarling · 31/07/2022 18:27

Maybe she didn't want to?

Purpleforthewin · 31/07/2022 18:27

There could be 101 reasons why she didn't go

bellabasset · 31/07/2022 18:28

George is now 9 and has only very recently been going out to events such as Wimbledon. I think that the Cambridges will decide when she's old enough to be able to cope with her being under that scrutiny.

Lockheart · 31/07/2022 18:28

George is the heir, Charlotte is not. This is an international final where England are on the world stage. The members of the RF who go will reflect that. That's why it's William and George, not Edward and Zara.

derxa · 31/07/2022 18:29

Oh watch the footie OP It's a great match

Sallyh87 · 31/07/2022 18:30

I have no interest in football and would find sitting through it painful, especially as a child. Though I do support the lionesses and hope they win!

Im sure if she wanted to go then she would have.

lakeswimmer · 31/07/2022 18:30

Maybe she didn't want to go or had something else to do.

I'm not sure why people describe the Royal Family as sexist when it's been led by a woman for the last 70 years. Clearly the next three monarchs are due to be male by that's due to random births rather than sexism surely?

girlmom21 · 31/07/2022 18:16

Plenty of 4 year olds go to football matches.

With the media watching and looking to criticise their total normal behaviour?

SizzlingAwayIntheHotSun · 31/07/2022 18:31

I have a daughter the same age, she'd be bored silly watching football whether it was men or women. I feel sorry for those children, even though they'll want for nothing and have more holidays each year than we probably take our children on in 10 years, they must get so bored being dragged around to rubbish. The football is on in our livingroom, our children have been outside in the sunshine playing in the garden and on the trampoline, I can bet who is having more fun and it definitely isn't poor George having to sit through another boring event in his suit no doubt. Poor kid, they'll probably scrap the monarchy before it even gets to him so he'll have wasted his childhood for nothing.

SpiderinaWingMirror · 31/07/2022 18:33

Maybe her brother didn't recommend the experience!

megletthesecond · 31/07/2022 18:34

She's probably having more fun watching it at home with her brothers. She's only 7.

SpinTail · 31/07/2022 18:34

A football match is a long thing to sit through if you don’t particularly enjoy watching football.
Enjoying playing football is very different to watching football, especially at that age.

girlmom21 · 31/07/2022 18:35

@PipinwasAuntieMabelsdog exactly! The same reason you wouldn't send a 7 year old girl.

2bazookas · 31/07/2022 18:35

Maybe she chose to do something else? Playdate, party.

TitoMojito · 31/07/2022 18:37

Tbf both as a child and now, you couldn't pay me to watch a football game.

BlackForestCake · 31/07/2022 18:37

nothing sexist about it

Nothing sexist whatever about the way everyone assumes that Charlotte isn’t interested in football and that George is.

vera99 · 31/07/2022 18:43

None of them matters and never watched a minute of women's football and never will.

ScarlettOHaraHamiltonKennedyButler · 31/07/2022 18:45

I think this is a very good point.

Also yes there are a million reasons why she might not be there. She might be at a sleepover or other birthday party with her friends. She might be off to watch League of Superpets like every other child on the planet (or so it feels!), maybe she is off to stay with her grandparents or maybe they asked if she wanted to go and she simply said 'no thank you'.

Squeezedsquash · 31/07/2022 18:46

Blimmin well hope her and George are in full England kit watching somewhere in the stadium if that’s what they wanted to do and they could get seats. And no one spots them if so.

lap90 · 31/07/2022 18:47

I was thinking the same tbh... but there are plenty of reasons why she might not have gone.

When William met the Lionesses he told them Charlotte had told him to tell them that she likes to play in goal.

quiteathome · 31/07/2022 18:49

Maybe they wanted the focus to be on the Lionesses rather than the Royal family.

Or she probably didn't want to go,
