Prince George went with Kate and William to watch a match.. What a shame Princess Charlotte isn't there...!

OP posts:
Cam22 · 31/07/2022 17:49

Why? Her parents decided.

KitBumbleB · 31/07/2022 17:49

William is there in a professional capacity, George will be a working royal, Charlotte is unlikely to be, so no need for her to be at official events.
Who knows, maybe she is there, off camera with a nanny.
Maybe she is watching it at home in her comfy clothes, with a nice drink and snack?

Georgeskitchen · 31/07/2022 17:53

At Charlotte's age I certainly wouldn't have wanted to sit through a football match!!

NotDonna · 31/07/2022 17:55

And why only Charlotte OP?
If George likes football why are you not suggesting he should be there?

Theluggage15 · 31/07/2022 17:55

On another matter I love the red rose dress Alex Scott is wearing.

MajorCarolDanvers · 31/07/2022 17:57

Does she like football?

My son doesn't like football and I'd not make him go to a match if he didn't want to.

Deadringer · 31/07/2022 17:57

It's very unlikely that they forced her to stay at home if she wanted to go.

nokidshere · 31/07/2022 17:59

Well I wish them well but I'd never go to any football match, can't think of anything more boring, except maybe F1

Cam22 · 31/07/2022 18:00

George is an heir, not the other children. That’s the way it’s going to be.

PuttingDownRoots · 31/07/2022 18:02

My daughter loves playing sport. Hates watching it. Maybe Charlotte is similar?

ThettaReddast · 31/07/2022 18:03

Yes he could’ve done, so I’d assume either her or her parents didn’t want her to attend, and nothing wrong with that. Or maybe she is there off camera, separate from William in his official capacity (presumably he’s doing the trophy presentation).

FourChimneys · 31/07/2022 18:08

Perhaps she would rather be at home with her toys?

bubblescoop · 31/07/2022 18:09

Very doubtful she had any interest in going.

Chooksnroses · 31/07/2022 18:10

As someone who can't stand football, I feel relieved for her!

AclowncalledAlice · 31/07/2022 18:10

George will be a working royal

He's 8 years old he shouldn't be a "working" anything. Hopefully by the time his dad goes the royals will be no more.

PipinwasAuntieMabelsdog · 31/07/2022 18:10

Maybe the children are with their grandparents and PC thought that would be more fun? Maybe after all the press coverage about PG's suit at Wimbledon and the criticism of PL at the pageant, they weren't up for anymore media exposure for the children at the moment.

girlmom21 · 31/07/2022 18:10

Why isn't it a shame Louis isn't there?

PipinwasAuntieMabelsdog · 31/07/2022 18:11

@girlmom21 He's 4.

TinaYouFatLard · 31/07/2022 18:12

Why only Charlotte? Why not George and Louis?

MyrtlethePurpleTurtle · 31/07/2022 18:12

Sparklingbrook · 31/07/2022 17:46

Yep, if she had gone whatever she was wearing would have been wrong. It's the rules.

I thought the mainstream media just fawns over what they’re wearing and how oh so super cute these super lovely super children are

TheUnexpectedPickle · 31/07/2022 18:15

I wish them well and I hope they win, same as any time a British team competes internationally. But I have absolutely no desire to go and sit through a football match. Ditto cricket and various other sports. Not my thing. Maybe it's not hers.

Also, she is a child. Its a long time to sit through a match. Maybe they didn't fancy story after story of her looking bored, playing around or William handing her is phone to watch Millie In-between like a bunch of other parents!

@girlmom21 He's 4.

Plenty of 4 year olds go to football matches.

TheVanguardSix · 31/07/2022 18:18

Why would you love to see her there?
She's not a mascot.
She's a kid.

SmellyToilet · 31/07/2022 18:19

She’s not the important one. Only George matters.
