To ask where the hashtag prince of pegging came from?

DH is looking at Twitter and it's obviously about Prince William's alleged affair but can't figure out where it's coming from now all of a sudden. Anyone in the know?

If you think about it in the context of 'alleged' royal / aristo proclivities over the past couple of hundred years, it's relatively tame in the grand scheme of things...

The weirdest thing about the whole thing is that this thread is still standing.... I thought it was definitely fake but MN are not ones to allow rumour to stand.

Also, it's not been a great time for the royals, so scandal associated with the future heir has the potential to be very destabilising.

I hope Kate's being clear about her needs. They'll be very keen to keep her sweet.

Just looked at Justine's Twitter thread for the year not a single mention of the Jubilee...or any other royal matters but plenty about what matters most. Good.

I think this is being allowed to run to dampen enthusiasm for William to ascend in preference to his pa. It won't harm him at all with the younger age groups, but older people holding their noses about Camilla may sigh a little, and concede that Wills is not quite ready yet for the full responsibilities....

I enjoyed The Bold Type, but fell out after a few seasons. Didn't get to the pegging episode. 😆

I don't know that anyone would admit to having their mistress give them a good bumming, let alone someone as notoriously private as PW. I can't imagine him admitting it to his closest friend, let alone anyone else. So from that stance, it's a load of utter bollocks.

Aparently Harry has constantly been thrown under the bus by The Firm allowing media access to stories (the Vegas drug fuelled pool party being one example) in return for PW being left alone. The rumours are that he was just as bad if not worse than PH. I wonder if once Megan learned of this (via PH) she opened his eyes up to how fucked up it all is. I don't think for a second she is engineering PW/The Royals downfall through leaks and rumours but I do think that through being in a normal relationship, unbound by Royal protocol and restrictions, PH has realised how used he has been and is now hitting back - he was after all perfectly placed to know about the affair with Rose H and be a "credible source".

Whilst it is advisable to take the stories of gossip sites with a pinch of salt, I do think that if all the silliness and hysteria is stripped back there will be a genuine story from which it has all stemmed. It won't be as amusing as the "pegging" story though, hence the traction the inflated version gets.

Might have trouble drumming up the necessary crowd participation for the coronation, royal walkabouts etc. Not going to be comfortable for Camilla, is it?

Viewing figures will have to be invented, Netflix nobbled, Freeview fixed etc etc.

I have one of those IKEA plastic peg carousels which is very useful. He's not an individual but a hereditary heir to the throne and Head of State and at that point Head of the Church of England. Harry has resigned from "The Firm" and pays his own way so in general scrutiny of them is the price they need to pay for their gilded, privileged entitled lives. Not sure this is the hill I would want to die on though for the principle ,but if they have been institutionally smearing Harry et al who pays his own bills then this is blowback.
