DH is looking at Twitter and it's obviously about Prince William's alleged affair but can't figure out where it's coming from now all of a sudden. Anyone in the know?

This is such a nasty thread. . I am as Republican as they come but I believe in attacking the institution not the individuals. Much of this is purely salacious and unfounded gossip. Sitting behind a keyboard can turn some people into real arses.

Thing is no one actually believes the pegging rumour is real. And even if it was consensual adult sex is no big deal and perhaps he and Kate have an arrangement.

The scandal is the fact a random post on a gossip Insta story went so mega, mega viral. Those gossip blogs and accounts post crap about royals all the time and rumours rarely go viral or get much attention. Even other sex rumours don't get that much attention. It would not have gone so super viral if William was not so widely disliked and not held in respect, and that's the real problem. Not the fact someone started a silly rumour. How is William fit to be King when he is not respected or liked? (I know people will post polls showing the most popular royal - those polls differ wildly and only survey a small number of people.)

How will the monarchy survive the death of the Queen who regardless of certain scandals is basically beloved? The concept of Monarchy is predicated on automatic deference towards hierarchy but that concept doesn't exist anymore. No one would be deferent to Charles or William because they have not earned public respect.

The financial scandal exploding around Charles on the back of the Andrew stuff and the cost of living crisis impoverishing millions is focusing minds that they are sick of seeing this family paraded around at which we are supposed to prostrate and admire by the mere fact of their birth not their deeds. Tik Tok....

@LondonWolf I don't believe that a man would marry a woman he doesn't love whilst maintaining a relationship with an aristocratic woman who if we are to believed was cucked by her husband to the heir of the throne and broadcasting this to a billion people worldwide. But there we are. The Middletons having brought up their daughters to marry a super rich Hedgie and the Heir to the throne are nothing if not consummate and perfectionist social climbers and I would rule nothing out. Doors to manual!

The Middletons are a force to be reckoned with for sure... Carol strikes me as a very posh Kris Kardashian😁 however I really don't think Pippa would name her baby Rose given the background? Has it been formally announced yet?
Does anyone on here actually know the Middletons or the royals?

I bet Paul Burrell is on here.

Even if the Rose Hanbury affair never happened, it's still weird for Pippa to name her daughter Rose. The rumour is out there now and will never go away.

Naturelover5 · 02/08/2022 03:29

@NC12345665 has she though? Nothing has been announced formally at least not that I'm aware of.. The daily mail posted it but it was heresay not a press announcement..

That's not how polling works.

This is a grotesque thread. It's schadenfreude for no good reason, and not only prurient but prudish.

How come this thread is still here?
