Datalounge (I know they are often completely wrong, but they do get some things right - many were saying that Kirk Douglas attacked Natalie Wood years before her sister confirmed it) is convinced that Meghan and Harry were behind the affair rumours - but they say that only M and H's alleged friends Nicole Cliffe and Giles Coren spread them, which isn't true. The William throwing them under the bus rumour sounds plausible - Meghan may have told some lies (if Revenge is true) but I'm not sure if she and Harry would go that far as to invent an affair.

Taking all the rumours as true, it's not Kate that's doing the pegging but another woman (with Kate's knowledge, because she's not into it/they've agreed he can mess around - which would just be part of the shitty time honoured tradition of (future) kings being unfaithful while their wives put up with it, I guess).

So the mysterious pegging other woman could easily sort the equipment. Maybe someone at Lovehoney spotted Rose Hanbury's address and leaked it to Deuxmoi 😅

No idea who the former is, but I don't think there's any relationship between Giles and Meghan. They were part of the same members club, but that doesn't mean they ever interacted socially let alone are 'friends'

I actually believe this, but only because the independent has ran an online news article today about pegging. The newspapers are under the thumb but this is their way of maybe letting the public know the rumour is true?

I have changed my usual name for this.

This alleged affair has been known about for at least 4 years (essentially when Kate was pregnant with Louis). Two conversations I have had with people who know / worked with the Royals

Conversation 1.
The military. In 2018 I was at a party where various officers (serving and retired) from the Blues & Royals were there. We were all rather drunk. We were saying isn't it a shame Kate & Megan don't seem to get on. One of the officers said it was nothing to do with the wives and it was the husbands not getting on as William was having an affair - quite matter of fact about it.

Conversation 2.
Fashion. I know various people who work in fashion. It's always a big deal to get Kate to wear one of your pieces, as a result you try to get to know her people and particularly her stylist well. Apparently, this takes years and years of nurturing contacts. About a year after the above conversation, one of the people who was on the 'royal team' at the fashion brand my DH was working at, who moves in those circles. said it was an open secret that William had an affair with Rose.

Conversation 1 was in 2018. Conversation 2 was in 2019.

I was at Kite Festival this summer and the wonderful Tina Brown gave a talk on the Royals (who she is a fan of and supports the monarchy) she candidly offered the opinion that there are secrets which if outed would bring down the House of Windsor and that the future of the Royals hinged totally on Kate staying on board and no she wouldn't share the goss !

I do think that Kate throwing in the towel would be a colossal blow for the royals.

She must have a lot of potential leverage should she choose to use it.
