Just being nosey really, I feel like most of the women on mumsnet are really big earners. I need help managing my money a bit better I think.

I never understand why you would think that. Plenty of people earn well. Certain threads attract them. I see what people earn and I am never surprised by the figures. It is possible to earn very well, particularly in certain jobs.

loves2plan · 19/07/2022 17:02

I work in eCommerce projects for a big four supermarket and earn just short of £40k plus bonus and other benefits

It’s always “Senior industry Big Six management data quadruptonics, £300k + bonus + 40% employer pension contribution, feeling the pinch at the moment”.

rivertoskateaway · 19/07/2022 17:04

I work in legal technology and earn just under £37k for three days a week

premiumbudget · 19/07/2022 17:04

Coffeaddict · 19/07/2022 17:07

Oneborneverydecade · 19/07/2022 17:07

Housekeeping 18 hours per week £11ph

I only have A levels and left office work 10 years ago with DS2

Fortunately DH is a high earner and my money is for meals out, clothes etc

MoonKnight · 19/07/2022 17:07

Full time carer to my disabled child. £69.70 per week

EllenWaiteourkid · 19/07/2022 17:08

Nothing and Dh retires soon, pensions kick in and we have savings.

Re the fibbers comment, DH earned in excess of £100k plus bonuses until this year, I worked part time but had I chosen to use my degree I would have been in the £60k ( I didn't because we had no family or support and I worked PT around DS)

Anytime there is a thread like this, you always get the nay sayers it is very wearing. 🙄

Agree - what an outdated and sexist attitude

if this was dadsnet no-one would doubt the figures

150k - salaried partner in law/professional services

and no that is NOT a lie

DillonPanthersTexas · 19/07/2022 17:10

Transformatio · 19/07/2022 17:11

Private tax advisory, just over 50k a year. Sometimes get a bonus but depends on the firm's overall profits, didn't get anything for the first two years and only small amounts in others.

Based in the South East. It's a similar salary to most accountants in my firm (for my region) with 1-2 years post-qualified experience.

Igo · 19/07/2022 17:12

Local government 32k I could earn 55-75k I jumped to the private sector

Cost of living is making this very tempting…

BiddyPop · 19/07/2022 17:12

Oops, wrong thread sorry

I work in a technical sales role for a large IT company. £65k basic + bonus, car allowance and private medical cover. I work 4 days a week, compressed so FTE and am mainly home based.
