Listening to Tory after Tory coming on TV this morning and almost every one has mentioned Jeremy Corbyn as the fear factor in voting Labour at the next election. Seriously - is that the best argument they have got to steer the public disgust at this government's behaviour away from them?

The left is always held to higher standards than the right.

Yes, the left do tend to advocate for higher tax as they believe it will benefit everyone. However, tax levels are high under the Tory government too and Sunak has said he won't cut them if he becomes PM. What do you mean get more involved in people's lives and what does any of it have to do with holding the right to a lower standard?

I'm sure there are instances of Tories calling Labour "evil". But it's far more so the other way. "Wicked Tories and their Cruel Cuts" etc.

He isn’t even a Labour MP anymore and hasn’t been for years so what does Corbyn have to do with anything? They’re really

Labour are fucked, to put it bluntly.

They need rid of people like Rayner and Thornbury but they won't/can't do that so Conservatives will win again.

I think it's somewhat unfair / untrue to say that the left tax people more when one considers the tax rises over the last ten years, all done under a Conservative government.

But that's not the same thing. Calling Tory voters stupid is objectionable and rude. Describing the Tory government as wicked and their cuts as cruel is demonstrably accurate and correct. You need to differentiate between the people who rule us and the people who vote for them.
