Maya Forstater WON. We should all breathe a sigh of relief. And organisations hr departments need to ensure they no longer discriminate for recognising biological reality. What a brilliant day for women.

Ha ha @beautyisthefaceisee you can hurl all the insults at me you want. I will just laugh at your rage even more.
Never takes long for the TRAs to resort to insults and name calling does it?

Ah, so as well as not being particularly clever, you're a goady OP who started an echo chamber

Oh I'm a TRA now? am I still a MRA or do you just struggle with spelling?

Your first post to me was calling me an MRA so you started it. You're a delicate wee soul really. I'm sure Maya will admire your loyalty, she seems the type of person who gives a shit about anyone else.

You don't actually give these views IRL, do you?

beautyisthefaceisee · 06/07/2022 17:17

MistyFuckingQuigley · 06/07/2022 17:13

since we are now in a world where truth matters over feeling

are you actually saying this is a bad thing@beautyisthefaceisee ? Yikes.

eh, yes.

Gatehouse77 · 06/07/2022 17:18

The trans side will win. And people like you almost make me feel hopeful they do.

And there we have it. It’s about winning and losing not compromise.

Conflating transsexuals and transvestites under the umbrella term transgender has caused a lot of the current issues. If you want to be non-conforming in the way you dress it only reinforces the gender stereotypes by saying you are the opposite gender.

DecayedStrumpet · 06/07/2022 17:18

*Not the point.

My issue is not with her views.*

So you think it's a good thing that we all now have the right to point out that biological sex is immutable without being harassed or sacked...

But you just have an issue with the way she said it?

Norma27 · 06/07/2022 17:18

I said TRA/MRA actually @beautyisthefaceisee.
I am very well educated too actually. With a fantastic job. Would you like to rage about that too?

Is there a reason then that I have to capitulate to OP? (After she bizarrely called me an MRA, which appears to have nothing to do with anything).*

No, you appear to have comprehension issues, I said you are entitled to your own opinion.

(After she bizarrely called me an MRA, which appears to have nothing to do with anything).

Well I kind of agree with OP, if you don't know you're an MRA you're certainly doing their bidding because you wish ill on a woman for stating that she believes that transwomen are not women and there are circumstances in law that women need safeguarding from ALL males no matter their gender identity.

But carry on, you are really showing your hatred of women well on this thread. Anyone unsure of their stance on this is probably getting a clear idea of what trans ideology really means to women. You effectively said that you don't think that people who do not believe humans can change sex should have the right to work.

O seems to think I capitulate to her.

I dont wish ill on her, I just don't want to clap for her and I certainly don't think shes brave

Oh i thought she just 'left a leaflet' on her desk, my arse.

"hatred of women" how boring. You should have the MN textbook.

No, I didn't say that. People can believe what they want.

I teach (OP will have a field day with that, bles her wee heart) and I'm not allowed to state that I vote for Nicola Sturgeon or that I'm an atheist or I'd lost my job.

But Maya can publicly humiliate people and that's to be celebrated.

And you'd feel like that if it was your son, or your daughter, would you? No. You wouldn't.

I couldn't give a shit about your job and education.

Doesn't make you a decent human being.

Oh TRA and MRA. Should I report you, that's two strikes. But you'll be OK with that, wont you? Perhas you could run to the papers and claim how big mean beauty didnt let you have your vitriolic opinion.

beautyisthefaceisee · 06/07/2022 17:21

Anyway, I'm off. You've had enough attention.

Today's newspaper, tomorrow's chip wrappings...

CorvusPurpureus · 06/07/2022 17:21

Fantastic news. Not if you're an angry misogynist, obviously, but a brilliant result for the rest of us.

Norma27 · 06/07/2022 17:22

you really are in a rage aren’t you @beautyisthefaceisee
You were the one who tried to say that I was stupid. I’m just pointing out that I’m not.

Bye you big fat liar! (It's OK to call you a liar right? You just admitted you prefer not to tell the truth)

DecayedStrumpet · 06/07/2022 17:23

I missed who Maya 'publicly humiliated', could anyone fill me in?

DahliaBlooming · 06/07/2022 17:24

Fantastic news!! This really is something to celebrate

lifeturnsonadime · 06/07/2022 17:25

But Maya can publicly humiliate people and that's to be celebrated.

Which specific people has Maya publicly humiliated and how?

I dont wish ill on her, I just don't want to clap for her and I certainly don't think shes brave

You literally said you hope she won't find a job so that's a lie.

"hatred of women" how boring. You should have the MN textbook.

I'll be more specific, you hate women who believe in material reality, that men can't become women based on notions of gender identity and you hate women who point out that women need spaces independent of males no matter what their gender identity is.

BigFrau · 06/07/2022 17:25

I mean, good luck to her, cause I'd say her chances of getting another job after going public wiht her vitriol is pretty slim.

Who do you think is going to want to hire her?

I hope it does impact on her future employability.

she'll be lucky to get a job stacking shelves

However much you would wish all this to be true, it really really isn't, @beautyisthefaceisee
Maya has plenty of job offers, as did Kathleen Stock.
Not everyone lives in your world.

DahliaBlooming · 06/07/2022 17:25

And cursed are those who would rather live with a comforting lie than the painful truth...

They have been raging for days.

To be honest I think this really has triggered a mental health break.

All over a leaflet left on a desk. You couldn't make this shit up.

Artichokeleaves · 06/07/2022 17:29

beautyisthefaceisee · 06/07/2022 17:21

Anyway, I'm off. You've had enough attention.

Today's newspaper, tomorrow's chip wrappings...

I respect that you believe that.

By today's legal findings, I am under no compulsion to conform to it as if it is the only possible acceptable truth.

Pluralist society. Intolerance of other beliefs including that sex remains an unchanging lifelong fact and matters in some situations, is not acceptable grounds to discriminate. That's all. It's a huge issue for females since we were being very firmly told that it was, but today's findings help a lot with the issues of equality of all and not just TQ+ people.

lifeinthelastlane · 06/07/2022 17:29

A lie can hide the truth but it can't change it.

Actually why would anyone be upset with today's verdict, I don't believe that a trans person has literally changed sex but I don't see why other people can't believe that if they want. There's lots of religious or political things as well I don't believe in. Can't imagine a world where everyone has exactly the same beliefs as I do.

Sarahconnor1 · 06/07/2022 17:30

It really is a good judgement. One of the key ways TRAs silenced women was by threatening to go after their employment, those days are over, at least in the UK..

lifeinthelastlane · 06/07/2022 17:31

I teach (OP will have a field day with that, bles her wee heart) and I'm not allowed to state that I vote for Nicola Sturgeon or that I'm an atheist or I'd lost my job
where on Earth do you teach that you couldn't say you are an atheist, Christian etc? I'd agree with the voting part (though you would not actually lose your job).

C152 · 06/07/2022 17:31

beautyisthefaceisee · 06/07/2022 16:57

Majority of who, btw? People? Or mumsnet?

@BerryTree1 I sincerely hope you have no trans or male employees - I'd be complaining about you if you did with statements like that.

You'd complain about someone protecting and championing women's rights?

TidyDancer · 06/07/2022 17:32

It's truly brilliant news today. Maya is a proper hero and I'm very grateful for her bravery.

SummerLobelia · 06/07/2022 17:34

Brava Maya. For your courage. Your committment to truth. Your resilience.

YouSetTheTone · 06/07/2022 17:36

Thank you Maya! Your guts and determination are helping to ensure Britain remains a place where we can speak about women and the material reality of sex. Every victory like this helps ensure women retain legal protections and advocacy over our lives and bodies. America has shown that we can’t take any of this for granted.
