I think this is excessive. In the past she's called him scum. Now he's winked at her. Which is more humiliating? And all politicians denigrate (ie criticise unfairly) the opposition. Its the reason they exist.

Apparently you are not alone as 17% of responses to the poll currently agree with you. Me, I think you are on glue. The only circumstances in which I would get the hots for Dominic Raab is if I were told it was that or being the next Mrs Boris Johnson.

It's not as bad as AR calling tories scum , I will admit that ( that was wrong and out of order ) and I am not a conservative and never have been.
There has to be some standards and nobody is following any much lately , it is depressing

Raab is quite an objectively good looking man, In my younger days I’d have been all over him like a cheap suit. But he’s a Tory boy knobhead so a firm no from me.

He winked at her! She's called him scum in the past. At best it's a draw. At worst she's still owed a smirk. 😅

I think she handled it pretty well actually, and I don't actually think it was particularly sexist in this case. The point he was making would have been made the same way to a man or a woman and I think the wink was just indicative of the dynamic between them. It's worth remembering that all the adversarial posturing in the House doesn't necessarily reflect the way politicians of whichever persuasion interact with each other. AR has called the Tories scum but while they're at work on a daily basis I'm pretty sure she has a laugh and a joke with them.

I do agree with you though, OP. Not a Raab fan but the wink worked for me. I can handle a sexist attitude and would feel perfectly comfortable putting him in his place if necessary.

I think if you just look objectively at the moment, it was quite sexy! Doesn't mean I like the man, as in Dominic Raab, or what he stands for. And I think it's possible to just appreciate a momentary thing like that without having to give up on your views about politics or sexism!

It's true enough that there have been some very unlikely friendships and at least personal respect across the political divides. I'm not sure Dom and Ange qualify, but we don't know.

For all Boris Johnson's many faults he does come across as well read, can speak other languages and speaks clearly ( most of the time , anyway ) Raaab just seems to be one of those who drifted through Uni , did the minimum and had a bit of a leg up to where he is now ( I've no idea if any of this is true , just how he comes across)
Plus I bet he likes the ladies because he can charm them with the winking.
Bit old skool in that respect. Some might like that kind of thing though.
