To get my hair cut like this at 42 years old?

I really like this cut. But is it a bit “young” for a 42 year old woman? My friend said I am too old for a cut like this.

I’m approaching 40. I have always had a fringe because I don’t like the size of my forehead - especially since telling a hairdresser this and she said that’s not a forehead, it’s a 5 and a half head 🤣🤣

Headteacher of the local primary has that hair and rocks it. I'm sure she's in her late 40s (because she made a comment to that effect about a year on my t shirt, shes much more stylish than me but we are the same age ifyswim)

Is your friend jealous? Perhaps you look younger than her? Perhaps you can carry off more youthful styles?

One of my biggest regrets is having my beautiful long hair cut when I turned 35 because a friend said I was too old to have long hair. Do what you want, I think the style you like is lovely on any age.

You can have any cut you want at any age! My older aunt (82 and no longer counting) had her hair dyed green and blue and shaved up one side. She really suits it, but so many younger relatives have told her she is too old. Her response is usually one or two fingers up to whoever comes out with that nonsense.

None of her business. She isn't the one wearing the hairstyle or the fringe! Go an get that haircut!

I had a mullet at 41. There is nothing 'young' or 'out there/alternative/extra' to the hair style you want to get. Your friend is talking shit.

I just wish I had hair I could have cut to a style like this. At 42 you are just starting out, it's no age at all. Definitely think you have a jealous friend and she is green with envy.

Life is too short to have boring hair. Get the cut you like!
