To get my hair cut like this at 42 years old?

I really like this cut. But is it a bit “young” for a 42 year old woman? My friend said I am too old for a cut like this.

It's a totally normal haircut that would be fine for any age. Not really sure what your friend's agenda is, but she sounds like a twat.

Get the haircut. It's hardly outrageous so I don't understand your DFriend's objection. Perhaps don't ask her opinion on everyday things and then you'll stop doubting your ability to make choices.

You’re not too old at all. I don’t think you can be ‘too old’ for a haircut. I do think that you need to make sure the hairdresser understands what you want and can do it right. I really like that cut.

I'm 42 and have brightly coloured hair. I don't doubt a lot on MN would say it makes me common/trying to be young/it's unflattering blah blah blah but I love the way it looks, so that's all that matters! Have your hair now you want- it's your head!
