DH used to when we were dating. Then he tailed off as we became a proper couple. He hasn't done it once since we married 6 years ago.

I've made comments, joked about it, he says sure. Bit it's all funny. And then we have sex and he goes absolutely no where near it. Just wham bam thank you mam.

I could be more direct with my request but I'm fairly sure he actually really isn't keen on it and it makes me feel ashamed that he would need to be persuaded into it.

Not looking for relationship advice (though fuck knows I need it)...just intrigued to find out if it still happens for other women in long term relationships?

Or do all men stop when they think they don't have to anymore?

Mixed feelings on this. I didn’t like it with my exbut would like it with current partner but he is very squeamish and uptight anyway - have been together nearly a year when we met - we did not have sex for a few months until he got more confident and it was only a few weeks ago

@HonestAnswersOnly For me, it wouldn't necessarily be about the oral sex. I would certainly prefer to be with someone who liked it, but if they just couldn't enjoy it, so be it. We'd do other things.

However, I don't think I could ever be in a long-term relationship with a man who found women and their bodies icky and gross and was 'squeamish' about vaginas. I'd find that impossible to deal with. (Similarly, if I was a man I don't think I could be with the kind of person you sometimes encounter on Mumsnet who is all 'Ewww, willies! Gross!' about men.)

That was me and that really is our sex life. I was married previously to someone like your husband and the difference is night and day.

My DH really, really does make me feel desired, loved and excuse my language but very fuckable. I feel the same way about him. We still do all the domesticated stuff of married people and parents but we love time together and sex is a huge part of our marriage. It keeps us connected and present with one another.

No, no and thrice times no.
Never liked giving or receiving and TG my OH (who doesn't live with me) isn't keen to give or get either.
I don't even rate sex now. Overrated and a lot of fuss over 5 minutes of actual action and TBH, even when I was in my late teens 20s and throughout married life, I was never that keen, although we had 5 children which were never planned as such and never used contraception.
