whynotwhatknot · 21/06/2022 16:32

I was just wondering why we're not allowed to post about this case-the deletion message mentioned it was ongoing so wouldnt be fair to the family

Charlie gards case was on going and there was numerous threads about it

Anyway if this stands maybe we can discuss

@LetsGoFlyAKiteee anyone who post anything vaguely realistic and helpful from the group gets banned. Even posting the court judgement gets you banned.

The group is dangerous. Someone today suggest Hollie put Archie's fingers in soil and give him an enema with some health supplement.

That's cause they're trolls and the hospital and judgement clearly are lying...dont mean so much from that group cause they all post bonkers crap but in real life! Someone around her must see how the situation really is. Or maybe they're all thinking along the same lines which is worrying.

nolongersurprised · 17/07/2022 02:10

I’m optimistic that there won’t be a hospital “storming”; there doesn’t seem to be the same numbers of real life support. I don’t know how supportive Hollie’s local community is of her and her family, but generally 99.999999 % of people feel that prolonging the death of a corpse is wrong.

It’s just that the remaining tiny percent are on Facebook, urging her on. A significant proportion are probably from the US

Someone on FB said there would "be war" if the wrong decision was made this Friday just gone.

Well, I’m sure a lot of people posted angrily! I’m hopeful that it’ll be the same when the ventilator is finally withdrawn.

WiddlinDiddlin · 17/07/2022 04:19

@XenoBitch Thanks that was interesting, I had no idea how much the body can actually do.. without a brain.

Of course, thats only if we provide mechanical, artificial ventilation... but still, fascinating stuff!

HuffleWoof · 17/07/2022 06:20

The most liked post at the moment is literally about putting his favourite food in his mouths to wake him up it's scary because she might be desperate enough to try

HuffleWoof · 17/07/2022 06:21

There were lots of sensible posts on thst suggestion but no doubt they'll be deleted by 10am

MrsLargeEmbodied · 17/07/2022 07:20

how on earth do they turn the ventilator off if she is refusing?

HuffleWoof · 17/07/2022 07:26

@MrsLargeEmbodied she will take it to every court she can, will lose and then they will set a date and a time.

Police will be called to be around if she is being aggressive or if the army are outside. Police might be called anyway tbh just in case

HuffleWoof · 17/07/2022 07:42

Staff and police would do everything in their power to help family be there when his heart stops but they won't compromise other patient care.

MakeMineALarge1 · 17/07/2022 09:03

It is a truly awful situation
I can no longer see what is written on the FB page since it went private, good job really as I am not sure my blood pressure could cope! I feel now that Hollie cannot be seen to lose face, to do so would be too much for her in the eyes of her army!
Just let the poor lad go, he is dead and decaying, what they could do is have a dignified end and let it happen when she is there holding his hand

whynotwhatknot · 17/07/2022 09:07

she doesnt believ ein dignity in dying-how can someone say that and then saying im at court all the time-tbh thats her own doing

She 'tried' honey yesterday. A video was posted. She also outright said the doctors had lied to the courts about him needing a heating blanket and that he was maintaining his temp at 36.5 while wrapped in 2 blankets including a very heavy fleecey one.

whynotwhatknot · 17/07/2022 09:09

i dont like the accusations that doctors are lying-og yes he holds his own temp and his pulse goes up and according to when they walok in the room

This is what can't get my head around. Fair enough if you believe it I think she is seeing what she wants to see and who could blame her. Yet in court the whole story is different. In the group shes talking needing time for him still to wake up..yet in court they've accepted he won't. Guess denial and all and again can see why or just a front to keep this group and the support going.
Considering there's been posts going on about how can any parent just let their child go and if they do they're not great and other potential hurtful things for people...

Also there's been a lot of accusations on that group about the doctors lying so no surprise that narrative is still going. The courts are corrupt and that's why they won't read the court judgement and the latest about the judge being anti life,a murderer and what he wrote in his so called book about wanting or trying to drown/strangle his sister...

HuffleWoof · 16/07/2022 22:09

@kittensinthekitchen if Archie was doing an online challenge. He would have been filming it to put it online. He didn't have his phone with him.

I think his mum needs a lot of support

But where did you read/hear that he didn't have a phone on him?

HuffleWoof · 17/07/2022 10:43

@kittensinthekitchen his mum said in an interview at the beginning saying she found his phone in his room

The "holds his own temperature" phrase that's being repeated over and over again is frustrating.

He's being kept alive, of course he will stay warm. His heart is still beating (due to the ventilator) & so his body will generate heat. If he gets an infection, he will develop a fever. This aren't indications that he isn't brain stem dead, unfortunately.

pinkred · 17/07/2022 11:13

Latest bonkerness from the army is an email draft that they are urging to be sent to all "coma researchers" they can find.

Includes the phrase "the UK keeps it's coma patients sedated, and it's more to do with organ donation than the individual"

They claim that if a researcher comes forward from another country, his care must continue because he will be under "active research"

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 17/07/2022 11:21

It's the post about how he could be part of a research programme...how is that helping?!

Though someone has been helpful about the whole organ donation so see how that goes...

I also feel these are the same kind of people who would be completely opposed to taking part in trials or research due to their suspicions with Bill Gates & "big phama"

Can you imagine if Archie really did get recruited for research? They would be outraged.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 17/07/2022 11:30

Given what many of the Army's posts suggest about their level of intelligence, I dread to think how they'd define a "researcher" ... someone who once read something on the dregs of the internet perhaps?

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 17/07/2022 11:39

And plus they've emailed Saturday do they really think they'll agree to come and take him on as a research patient in a day..and research what? Nothing new is happening here. Its all bizzare..and of course it mentioned organs the usual. Person receiving that must be thinking what on earth
