Booing Boris. AIBU to say he deserved it?

I'm not a boo-er, it doesn't come naturally to me. Yet thinking of the photo of the queen, alone, at her husband's funeral contrasted with his snivelling 'apology' for tolerating depraved behaviour in his workplace together with his other contemptuous behaviour over the course of parliament, I'd have found it hard to resist. His presence just seems like adding more insult to injury.

it was hardly illegal by any stretch of the imagination., ‘hardly illegal’is an interesting concept JaniieJones - leads to all sorts of interesting hypothetical scenarios.

He's a good intelligent leader and there's no one else with a patch on him.
😂
Let's move on and let him lead
Nah

I don't think the plan to attract "Waitrose women" is going too well at the moment

Most of the country are sick to the back teeth of party gate , it would be a very strange boss who didn't attend a leaving do at work .

Even old Keir was doing the same .

Very childish to boo and today wasn't the right occasion or place .

If only that were true. In case you didn't notice, we were living in strange times and very strange things were expected of all of us. Like, not seeing DH for three of the last 6 months of his life, like having practically no one at his funeral....

I'm glad you live in a world where this doesn't matter, but very many people are not bored at all, we're still furious.

'It will be interesting to see how the bots on here react to that'

Look you all need to have a group chat and establish the rulez. Is name calling ok or not? I'm a 'bot' yet calling Sir Beer Sir Beer is childish and playground!

Fwiw if the tories get shot of BJ I won't lose any sleep over it. I just know we were lucky to have him in the last 2 years, we'd have been much worse off if not and his birthday 'party' fpn must've been a a token gesture it was hardly illegal by any stretch of the imagination.

Of course having a birthday party wasn't illegal. Night after night through April and May 2020 the Prime Minister and others at the Downing Street briefings encouraged people to mix with those they would not otherwise and to sing together as long as it was someone's birthday.
In fact now I think about it Boris was videoed singing happy birthday whilst washing his hands, he clearly loves that song.

'The funny thing is Downing Street and CCHQ don't seem to be able to read the mood of the country. As one can see from their representatives on here.'

The funnier thing is you and your pals on here don't seem able to understand that many people can see through the media smear campaign. The 'Sir Beer Korma was at work you fools!!' story, BJ was at a party < at work with a few work colleagues and a few sad sarnies>.

BJ was the best person to steer us through the last couple of years we all know it. If Sir Beer was running the show we'd be locked down still, wearing masks and bowing and scraping to the EU.

The funniest thing is you and your torybots keep harping on about "media bias/smear" as if the media you are referring to isn't run by your master's masters. The very fact that Murdoch's empire is turning against Boris the Liar should tell you just how far he has fallen.

I'm sure you'll get the memo from HQ soon and we'll see you back here promoting whoever Rupert has lined up next.

Failing to LD early was a disaster, his brexit negotiations and then ripping up an agreed international treaty even worse.

The loss of EU trade to the UK, just so he could gain power, should be what he is on trial for, Brexit also has and will damage the UK for decades to come, not to mention the loss of a sizable, hard working, intelligent, chunk of the workforce, many of whom were doing skilled well paid jobs.

Bojo is and never was a Brexitier, he would have been equally vociferous for Remain had that been the way to no10, he continues to support a very reckless policy because he has to keep the support of his ERG MPs.

BJ doesn't lead, he follows, then "leads" once he has judged the public mood.

But he'll be gone soon, its the only way the Tories can win the next GE.

Best not to call people out for being bots. The thread might end up being pulled...

SueSaid · 05/06/2022 14:29

'The funniest thing is you and your torybots'

That's name calling. It isn't allowed it's childish and playground according to Duncin and piggy. Or is it like Sir Beer, do as I say not as I do? One rule for them and another for etc etc zzzz...

Hawkins001 · 05/06/2022 14:35

No Boris does not deserve to be booed, besides what exactly does it achieve when their are more effective methods.

DuncinToffee · 05/06/2022 14:38

Just report personal attacks and call people by their proper name, it's not that difficult

What more effective methods? It's fairly strong message to a party that's been trying to pretend the public don't care...

Christ, if you think Boris did a good job through the pandemic the brainwashing really does work well.

There was a poster yesterday urging us on this thread to do just that, I can't remember who though.

Christ, if you think Boris did a good job through the pandemic the brainwashing really does work well.

Boris did an excellent job of enriching his mates and enjoying himself. These are two of the most important things a Prime Minister should be doing.

That is why so many people voted for him, so others could get rich at their expense.

newnamethanks · 05/06/2022 14:59

DARVO as somebody usefully reminded us yesterday. DARVO as usual.

So, 50 years later, the UK gets to feel how Watergate must have felt to the average American. A criminal head of government trying to force the law and it's officers to bend to their will while laying waste to any notion of honour.

I really don't know why no one has come out and said "It's not illegal if Boris does it." ?

TooBigForMyBoots · 05/06/2022 15:56

It takes a very, erm, special(?) person to think 120+ FPNs issued to 10 Downing Street is the same as 0 FPNs to KS.🤦‍♀️😆

itsgettingweird · 05/06/2022 15:58

BJ gets called all manner of things on here. Sir Beer isn't that insulting. Lighten up.

Things for me is that when people call you up on things (for example I said we shouldn't bite when your obviously on a wind up the other day) you get all sweet and tell people their better than resorting to insults.

Either you think it's ok to make comments about people or you don't.

Hypocrisy isn't a good look.

Well tbh I think there's a difference between insulting other posters, something some of you do constantly, and calling Starmer Sir Beer. So yes, I do think it's ok to make comments about well known people but you must all try and be consistent. We have Bozo, big baby, twat, useless baffoon, etc etc on many threads re BJ yet it's all handbags at dawn over Sir Beer or even Ange <Shock> for Ms Rayner.

countrygirl99 · 05/06/2022 16:55

Surely bot is a job title not an insult.

newnamethanks · 05/06/2022 17:01

If not a job, it's certainly an occupation for some.
