Booing Boris. AIBU to say he deserved it?

I'm not a boo-er, it doesn't come naturally to me. Yet thinking of the photo of the queen, alone, at her husband's funeral contrasted with his snivelling 'apology' for tolerating depraved behaviour in his workplace together with his other contemptuous behaviour over the course of parliament, I'd have found it hard to resist. His presence just seems like adding more insult to injury.

'The funny thing is Downing Street and CCHQ don't seem to be able to read the mood of the country. As one can see from their representatives on here.'

The funnier thing is you and your pals on here don't seem able to understand that many people can see through the media smear campaign. The 'Sir Beer Korma was at work you fools!!' story, BJ was at a party < at work with a few work colleagues and a few sad sarnies>.

BJ was the best person to steer us through the last couple of years we all know it. If Sir Beer was running the show we'd be locked down still, wearing masks and bowing and scraping to the EU.

YABU
Which of the other shallow egotistical twats would you have in power then??
He's a good intelligent leader and there's no one else with a patch on him.
Yes he's not perfect but ffs how long is the news about party-gate going to go on for.

Boris has got the message, we've got the message , let's move on and let him lead.

The best joke I've heard all year.

UthredofBattenberg · 05/06/2022 13:36

I agree, just a shame some people tried to drown out the boos with some cheers. Didnt work though!😁

Volterra · 05/06/2022 13:38

However tabloid it is, he is and always will be ‘the Lie Minister’ in my mind. I can’t look at him without the word ‘liar’ popping into my head.

If he is such a goof leader why was he presiding over drunken chaos at No.10?

DuncinToffee · 05/06/2022 13:39

Janiie just stop with the name calling, it is really childish

I don't agree Johnson was the best.

But I do agree Starmer may not have been better.

But they aren't the only 2 people in government and aren't the only 2 parties available to lead.

BJ gets called all manner of things on here. Sir Beer isn't that insulting. Lighten up.

Thank you @JaniieJones for proving my point. Very kind of you.

Seriously Nadine, give it up, we know it's you.

So are you suggesting that make people like my Stepmother and her family who really loved Johnson and is now disgusted by him after his recent behaviour, are intellectually challenged as they can’t see through the alleged media smear campaign ? That appears to be the implication of what you are saying, be grateful if you would correct me if I am wrong.

SleeplessInEngland · 05/06/2022 13:45

”He got the big decisions right” - the first bullet point on every Johnson apologist’s list.

(It used to be ‘who cares about a bit of cake’ until they realised lots of people did and saying that over and over again just made Big Dog even more unpopular.)

It's not as if we are hiding our contempt for the liar and those of low morals and ethics who blindly follow and defend him.
It's been spelled out clearly for them

The only place he is leading them is into the gutter with the rats. I have no desire to join them.

SueSaid · 05/06/2022 13:11

It would be very ironic and rather amusing too.

It would also make Boris look totally spineless.

cakeorwine · 05/06/2022 13:54

Just ticking my bingo card from what @JaniieJones just said.

Still - we all know that it will be the Conservative party who will get rid of Johnson. They want power. Johnson has got them where they are - and will turn on him.

It will be interesting to see how the bots on here react to that.

jgw1 · 05/06/2022 13:55

ChrisReasBathEggs · 05/06/2022 13:48

Does he actually need any help in that?

Piggywaspushed · 05/06/2022 13:56

I see we have resorted to name calling again, and then saying that Johnson gets called names too. It's playground stuff.

Agreed, I'm not sure what they are hoping to achieve really. We don't need representatives on here trying to convince us that things haven't or aren't happening, we just need out leading party to do their job and do it well. Far easier to get people to loiter on MN and to stick to an unconvincing script than to actually do some work, but that's them all over really.

ChrisReasBathEggs · 05/06/2022 13:59

jgw1 · 05/06/2022 13:55

No not really, that has already been done by his past antics. I guess it would just piss people off even more.

SueSaid · 05/06/2022 14:00

'It will be interesting to see how the bots on here react to that'

Look you all need to have a group chat and establish the rulez. Is name calling ok or not? I'm a 'bot' yet calling Sir Beer Sir Beer is childish and playground!

Fwiw if the tories get shot of BJ I won't lose any sleep over it. I just know we were lucky to have him in the last 2 years, we'd have been much worse off if not and his birthday 'party' fpn must've been a a token gesture it was hardly illegal by any stretch of the imagination.

mum2jakie · 05/06/2022 14:03

Lucky to have Mr Johnson!!!!! Funniest thing I've read on here yet 😂

cakeorwine · 05/06/2022 14:03

I just know we were lucky to have him in the last 2 years, we'd have been much worse off

I am pretty sure that there are some Conservatives who could have handled the pandemic better than he did.

"Just wash your hands" - that was his attitude

I bet Theresa May would have handled it far better at the start.

Peregrina · 05/06/2022 14:04

BJ was the best person to steer us through the last couple of years we all know it.

Dear God. If he's the best, what would their worst be like?

I know you’re taking the piss at this point but saying a fine isn’t really illegal is making it a tad obvious. Trolling is an art, it takes subtlety and finesse.

Piggywaspushed · 05/06/2022 14:06

I have never called you a bot, janiie. It's the last resort when you have nothing else to say. It's like DH when he tells a bad joke. Say it again louder in case no one heard . We heard. It just wasn't original. Or funny.
