@MarieIVanArkleStinks

You raise really valid points and I agree with them.

The system has always been for the rich. I like to think this is slowly changing in the UK, but after the whole Wagathachristie stuff, I suspect the change is too slow.

I'm still stick on the "Domestic Violence ". If they had focused on Domestic abuse, such as emotional and verbal abuse, I think this would be a lot clearer for me.

The other key question for me has been
"If some lies, do I disregard all of what they have said or do I belive some of the things they said?"

In real life, it depends. Sometimes when I have caught someone lying I have judged them as a liar in everything. But there have been occasions when I've left things go and believed in the essence of what the person has said.

It's very hard. I don't envy the jury

TiddyTidTwo · 27/05/2022 20:59

"I do think if slamming the kitchen cupboards is the requirement for the domestic abuse"

Oh shit then I'm an abuser. I slam kitchen cupboards on my own in the house... wait...the dog and cat are here. Report me to the RSPCA for animal abuse!

unctuousunicorns1 · 27/05/2022 21:02

I slam doors when I'm really mad, and once called my DH a fucking cunt. I'm an abuser!

Onthedunes · 27/05/2022 21:03

Question for all the poster on here ...

If you were in a room isolated having a very heated argument with either of these people Johnny Depp or Amber Heard, which one would you feel would scare you more.

Which one would you feel could control themselves more and show mercy or not show mercy and attack you.

Honest question.

IrisVersicolor · 27/05/2022 21:05

My own feeling is that he's economical with the truth but she's a pathological liar.

There’s been a combination of truth and lies on both sides.

TiddyTidTwo · 27/05/2022 21:08

I call my DH a cunt all the time. You know when AH team put into evidence JDs text "I love you you fucking cunt".

I don't think my DH is a cunt, I also tell him he has knees like a chicken, a twat, piss off out the bed when his elbows and chicken knees are sticking into me and he's making me hot. He gives as good as he gets.

If we divorced my dry texts and (if he recorded me) would look absolutely awful in a court of law. Legally what I say is horrible, in real life it's how we are a couple.

See? Easy to twist things after the event

ENoeuf · 27/05/2022 21:09

@MarieIVanArkleStinks I think so- I would feel it was so pointless. At least making a decision would justify the time

I'm quite a hard person and can take a lot of shit but AH scares me.

Shehasntagedatall · 27/05/2022 21:11

Sooooo…verdict could be today or next week?

TiddyTidTwo · 27/05/2022 21:13

To add I've been a survivor of gaslighting, DARVO and emotional and physical abuse from a man but she's fucking epic. All I've gone through, my mouth hung open at some of the shit she pulled in that courtroom.

adriftabroad · 27/05/2022 21:14

Thanks minou

Amber.

Hearing her on those recordings is frightening. Really scary. She clearly has a hair trigger temper and a lack of self control and I don’t doubt for a second that she resorts to violence when angry, stressed and frustrated.

It’s really concerning that she is the sole parent to a baby. A child will push your buttons like no other.

adriftabroad · 27/05/2022 21:17

I[d be in a room with JD every time. AH scares the shit out of me, no thanks!

Genuinely, Amber.

Johnny strikes me as a thrower/slammer but not targeted at a partner. AH makes me feel she would physically attack with ease.

adriftabroad · 27/05/2022 21:19

Anyway, he is far more intelligent and interesting.

No, I do not fancy him.

AH is a made up person. Creepy.

Amber Heard.
I posted similar opinion on a previous thread where I said I have a DS and a DD and in this type of relationship with these two personality types, whilst I would have concerns about DD I would be worried sick about DS.

@ENoeuf wrote: We probably have different interpretations of dry.

I don't wonder. He's hardly a scintillating wit. 'Deadpan' would not be a form of humour I'd ascribe to him judging by his childish, sniggering, smirking displays in court over the last month.

Acerbic and sardonic he ain't. He has all the subtlety of a JCB digger. I don't exactly clutch my smelling salts in horror when someone drops a fuckbomb, but the language he uses about women in general, not just Heard - is nothing short of repulsive.

He ought to make a film with Mel Gibson, they're two of a kind. Both brilliant actors, both raging addicts and both seriously nasty pieces of work.

I'd still find for him on the basis of the evidence presented, though.

Boulshired · 27/05/2022 21:33

Both in the UK and this trial has shown that there is a need in civil cases that the evidence provided is of a certain standard which may need to be court approved. More perjury charges need to be followed up when it’s clear as there is obvious disregard to swearing under oath. Closing arguments in this case and the accusations of witnesses lying was outstanding- not mistaken but lying. In a case of defamation the lawyers are very quick to accuse. Elaine accusing Warner brothers was a bizarre example.

TiddyTidTwo · 27/05/2022 21:36

"I don't wonder. He's hardly a scintillating wit. 'Deadpan' would not be a form of humour I'd ascribe to him judging by his childish, sniggering, smirking displays in court over the last month."

What was her smirking down to then? Compared to her emotional non teary face pulling emotional clap-trap which he didn't do?

TiddyTidTwo · 27/05/2022 21:43

Re #DeppHeard: there must be real consequences for exaggerated, uncredible, or opportunistic, “Me Too” claims. If there are no consequences, then those who have called women liars, or said “it’s too easy to make it up” are proven right, and the entire movement is discredited.

From Twitter. Could agree more

TiddyTidTwo · 27/05/2022 21:43

Couldn't! Sick of my phone and no edit on here!

And this

Part 5 AIBU to want 15 minutes fame? (depp v heard)
JenniferAlisonPhilipaSue · 27/05/2022 21:48

its a long weekend in USA so if I was a juror I wouldn't want to enjoy a long weekend to come back and go over / deliberate this shit again. I'd want it done and dusted asap.

I think Johnny's sniggering was his humour, of some the absurdity of it.

Some of the witnesses were comical, many on the internet would agree. He has a sense of humour, he can laugh at himself.

Remember narcisists very rarely have a sense of humour, their humour tend to be laughing at someone elses pain.
