Going back to someone saying they can't believe someone could lie to the extent AH may be lying to..
If she believes her own lies, and some people really do, then yes, this level and frankly, much much worse, is entirely possible.
There are people who can do this, I have met some of them and my mother was absolutely one.
My mother claimed for years that when I was 9 my father tore off her clothes and THREW her down the stairs and also that on another occasion, he attacked her with a knife.
She forgot very quickly that I was witness to both these incidents - the 'stairs' incident she slipped and fell, he tried to grab her and caught her shirt front which ripped, but at the point at which she actually slipped and teetered, he was FACING ME.. not her! He could NOT have pushed her or thrown her.
In the knife incident, again she forgets crucial details - the knife was a butter knife, it was a fight SHE started over something absolutely trivial and he picked up the butter knife to get it out of her way as she was reaching for anything she could throw at him (he threw it away behind him!)
But over the years and forgetting or discounting a witness who was a child, those stories morphed and I do think she FULLY believed her version of events.
I have said for ages that I can see the tiniest grain of truth in many of AH's stories.
A filthy and mucky comment during sex about cavity searches turns into 'he performed a cavity search on me' - a dirty idea of sex play with a bottle turns into 'he raped me with a bottle'..
Someone ELSES account of a rape becomes her own story.
As for nasty comments in texts about a person - I think many of us would be squirming if our private texts and DM's were read out in public out of context.
To date I have absolutely written that I want someone to burst into flames, fall off a cliff, that I feel particularly 'stabby', that I'd happily run someone over (I can't even drive)...
...and have gone down the road of ludicrous hyperbole...
'I want to stab him and throw him out of a plane.. nono, lets blow him up then stab him then throw him out of a plane... no wait lets drop him off the moon then blow him up then stab him then throw him out of a plane...'
None of these mean I am an abusive person nor do they indicate I have ever blown someone up, dropped them out of a plane, stabbed them etc etc.. nor will I.
Today again demonstrated that Depps expert witnesses and other witnesses are credible and solid.
And Heards are a looooooong way off being either. Their evidence simply does not stand up and her legal team are laughable.
