A non-food shop so like matalan, new look, next etc as long as she is in a sling and doesn't touch the floor?

No.

PleasantBirthday · 11/05/2022 11:49

Does it not know what it wants from the website?

PansyPetunia · 11/05/2022 11:50

Assistance dogs only

Ihatethenewlook · 11/05/2022 11:50

Nope

ZeroFuchsGiven · 11/05/2022 11:51

No, its an animal leave it at home.

RollOnWinter · 11/05/2022 11:51

No. If your puppy is too young to be left for long, why not a) shop online, or b) get a dog-sitter

I’d hate to see a dog in a shop.

MatildaTheCat · 11/05/2022 11:54

Some stores do allow it but do you really want to run the risk of any toileting accidents involving a potential bill for you?

Why would a puppy be in a sling?

In a puppy sling - ummm to keep my hands free whilst she can still snuggle in.

Wilco allow it.

Justcallmebebes · 11/05/2022 11:57

I was in B&M in the queue the other week behind a woman with a cat in a sling. It didn't look happy

ZeroFuchsGiven · 11/05/2022 11:58

I miss the good old days when dogs were just that....dogs, not 'fur babies' carried about in slings and pushed about in pushchairs. I dont think these people know how ridiculous they look Grin

She's a 9 week old puppy, she can't be on the ground until she's had her second jabs. God you sound miserable, what is it to you if someone carries their puppy around in a sling whilst waiting on their jabs? Trying to get them used to the outside world and lots of different people is recommended as early as possible so I will walk her around in a sling, get a grip and smile

I do, pup in a sling and take him shopping. You'll find whilst most places have a no dogs allowed policy a lot of staff are delighted to see your pup. Just risk it, the worst that can happen is you're asked to leave. This has only happened to me once and I was polite, apologised and left.

XenoBitch · 11/05/2022 12:02

If the shop is dog friendly, then take your pup.

FrecklesMalone · 11/05/2022 12:02

I took my dpup to B&Q we got approached about 6 times by staff but only to coo over her. She is now fucking massive and most definitely can't be carried!

ZeroFuchsGiven · 11/05/2022 12:02

Not miserable, Just don't like dogs being took into human spaces ie clothes shops, I find it quite disrespectful actually.

Well, that’s good of you.

meatballmarinara · 11/05/2022 12:04

I have seen people bring their dogs in Primark on several occasions, as well as the shopping centre.
Not sure about food shops though.

That's not what you said. You said that people don't have a clue how ridiculous they look. Miserable, judgemental and rude. And adding a Grin to the end doesn't change that. Now bore off.

Saw a couple of dogs in a pram once at the post office.
