To think male violence will never end?

YouAreNotBatman · 04/05/2022 15:26

I was reading the news about 14 year old boy raping and killing a 10 year old girl and I just became so tired.
So tired of endless violence boys and men do to girls and women.
And how they don’t care, they seem to think it’s funny or get angry at any woman who try and speak about it.

"do they even care about anything honestly"

No. no man cares about his wife, sister, mother, daughter, friends. None.

Well finally some honesty, thank you.

@stopwaitingforpermissiontobeyou you’re still quoting posts.

I’m more that happy to listen to how you think we can halt male violence. Ideally without the insults.

RomeoOscarXrayIndigoEcho · 05/05/2022 18:08

Women are violent. That's true but in an overwhelming majority of cases women are violent due to trauma. The trauma of being the victim of violence.

Who by?

Fucking NEM.

If we were able to solve male violence against women, men, children, animals we'd go a long way to solving female violence too.

yes, but mine aren't half a screen long!

Pumperthepumper · 05/05/2022 18:12

Yes they are - I’m reading on my phone and they’re massive.

Ah.

So even when females are violent, they're still totally the victims and men are to blame.

But if violent men are the product of violent women, they're not victims and it's outrageous to blame the mother?

That's ....interesting.

Is it an error?

Mine shows as 2 sentences, but yours shows the last 15 or so quotes.

I dont mean to be insulting pumper. We vehemently disagree but I don't mean to be.

No, it’s because you keep quoting.

I’m pretty sure the repeated ‘men hater’ posts are supposed to be insulting. That and the ‘mind games’ and ‘your nonsense’. Don’t be a coward.

YouAreNotBatman · 05/05/2022 18:05

Do you think women are responsible for men’s violence?

So, you can't answer my question?

TruthHertz · 05/05/2022 18:21

But to answer your question, I don't think anybody is responsible for the actions of any other individual, outside of obvious cases of coercion/blackmail etc.

If Joe down the road kills his wife, Eric next door who has never harmed a fly isn't responsible for Joe's actions or finding a solution.

YouAreNotBatman · 05/05/2022 18:22

TruthHertz · 05/05/2022 18:18

I tried your way, since you haven’t answered any of mine.
Figured that would have been the way, apperently not.
Nothing but stonewalling from you.

OP posts:
Pumperthepumper · 05/05/2022 18:23

I think it would be a fairly human response for Eric to wonder if he could have prevented it, yes. Maybe stepped in when he heard shouting? Maybe called the police just to be safe? Maybe checked in with Joe to see he’s ok? I doubt Eric would think ‘ah well, not my circus, not my monkeys’.

Pumperthepumper · 05/05/2022 18:25

And as this thread proves, men do not want to talk about male violence with women. Women are accused of being man haters just for having the conversation!

brookstar · 05/05/2022 18:29

Eric isn't responsible but I think all men have a responsibility to call out sexist, misogynistic and violent behaviour when they see it in other men.

Make it unacceptable in your peer group to speak about and treat women in a derogatory way.
I call it out when I see it but it is far more effective coming from other men.

Supersee · 05/05/2022 18:30

So, innocent men are doing loads of things to try and prevent violence caused by other individuals and which they're not personally responsible for themselves?

Yes. How can't you understand that concept? Imams are working with young male Muslims to stop radicalisation, there are groups of ex cons that work with young males to stop the cycle and look for a life away from crime (including against women) and so on.

I think I'm done now with the continuing male (as in the collective sex, not your brother Steve) excusers.

I don't think I've called you a man hater.

You have played mind games though, accusing me of things you know I don;t think.

Says the poster who has ignored the motivations of the boy in question to blame males as a collective. Seems an excuser to me

Jean down the road kills her husband.

Are you going to start campaigning?

No, you'll assume she was abused and move on.

I'm a woman.

if I didn't want to talk about it, I wouldn't be on the thread.

I don't think you are a man hater. I don't agree with many of your points but I don't think that.

But to claim there have been no man haters on this thread...

It wouldn't change my views.
