To think male violence will never end?

YouAreNotBatman · 04/05/2022 15:26

I was reading the news about 14 year old boy raping and killing a 10 year old girl and I just became so tired.
So tired of endless violence boys and men do to girls and women.
And how they don’t care, they seem to think it’s funny or get angry at any woman who try and speak about it.

Can you explain why you think pointing out the fact that men overwhelmingly commit the majority of rapes and murders is discrimination?

Before you even copy and paste it Pumper, I know you haven't said about all men. But people have. The discussion is being had about all men and what are they going to do about it,
Would it be acceptable for me to claim that a Muslim should be dealing with terrorism?

Or that you should be dealing with the fact that many people are bullied psychologically by women?

Or that all teenagers should deal with the fact that other teenagers smash things up

No! That would be ridiculous.

Pumperthepumper · 05/05/2022 17:16

Muslims do loads and loads of work to stop people being radicalised. There are groups of youth workers who work to stop young black men being tempted by gangs, in order to combat knife crime. It’s absolutely bizarre to me that you’re so determined that this is discrimination when you know so little about the work being done (by men!) to stop men being violent.

brookstar · 05/05/2022 17:18

It is not discrimination to highlight that the vast majority of violent crime is committed by men.

I don't think they should have to, though. That just doesn't suit you.

So, just let it go? Not try to stop any violence at all?

brookstar · 05/05/2022 17:36

I find it incredulous that people are (incorrectly) claiming the men are being discriminated against based on their sex because people are presenting a fact about the perpetrators of violent crime when women are routinely discriminated against because of their sex.

I never said they weren't.

@Pumperthepumper , no, but it's not their responsibility anymore than it is ours.

brookstar · 05/05/2022 17:43

I never said they weren't.

But you do seem to think we're all discriminating against men.... which is not the case.
Men are not routinely discriminated against because of their sex.

Even highlighting the fact they are statistically more likely to commit violent crime than women isn't discrimination.

YouAreNotBatman · 05/05/2022 17:45

@NewUser123456789

Why are men’s feelings more important than girls and women being hurt and killed?

If you are not violent, predatory man you shouldn’t have anything to worry about.

Help end male violence, then there won’t be reason to talk about prolematic men and your feelings won’t be hurt anymore.

Once again, why tiptoeing around serious and dangerous matter so men won’t be sad (do they even care about anything honestly) is the most important thing?

I'm glad you're done, because despite your wails of "lets pretend there is no problem", you're the one shutting down the discussion by attacking anyone who doesn't nod sand say "Yes OP you're perfectly right". However, if that had happened, would you actually have solved anything? I've yet to see you offer solutions.

I’ve done no such thing.

And I gave solutions, there was an arrogant person who came along and laughted at them, telling we shoudn’t upset men.

Go back and read.

Why can’t you just answer the question?
Let’s move along already.

Why bring muslims or women or whatever to this, when main problem is violent boys and men.
Those muslim terrorist are men btw.

But that doesn’t inconvenience men, so it doesn’t matter.
No male feeling being hurt, so no reason to care.

So, innocent men are doing loads of things to try and prevent violence caused by other individuals and which they're not personally responsible for themselves?

You should explain that to the posters that keep asking why men aren't interested in doing anything about it.

They are, yes! They’re doing it because men stepping up helps stop male violence. But not enough men are doing it. Why do you think that is?

I’m genuinely surprised that for all your talk of testosterone and male suicide you’re so ignorant about the work being done (by men! Men who see the problem!) - it’s almost like you don’t give a tiny shit about men at all…

"do they even care about anything honestly"

No. no man cares about his wife, sister, mother, daughter, friends. None.

and 86 a week kill themselves for the banter.

this is why I can't take seriously anything you say. You are totally and utterly anti-men.

Nice try pumper, but I've seen enouhg of your silly mind games to ignore your nonsense.

In all honesty?

If I was a man and read boards like this, I'd want to be as far away as possible as well, living my life with people who don't talk about me like this.

But then i cant say that or il be told that im asking you to "Be kind" because you're a woman.

That's the problem with this form of thinking. People have lots to say but don't want to hear.

The adult equivalent of being a bully and then wondering why you have no friends.

Pumperthepumper · 05/05/2022 18:02

The reason mosques target young men in danger of being radicalised is because it means more coming from another man of the same religion. An elderly Jewish woman wouldn’t have the same impact. A bit like Dave in accounts being more inclined to listen to Steve in accounts over Brenda from admin about the dangers of aggressive male behaviour.

Pumperthepumper · 05/05/2022 18:03

@stopwaitingforpermissiontobeyou that post wasn’t even aimed at you!

stopwaitingforpermissiontobeyou · 05/05/2022 18:03

Pumper can you @me instead of quoting half a page? a few posters have commented om this now.

I don't disagree with your above post. but I'm a young (ish, I'm still stinging from your comment this morning) woman and you don't want to listen to me, so...

Pumperthepumper · 05/05/2022 18:04

@stopwaitingforpermissiontobeyou em, I did….the post you quoted wasn’t even a reply to you.

On this occasion I didn't mean you, my apologies. We had that debate this morning after you suggested I was plus 50 ( :'( ) and I took that on board.

Numerous posters have suggested the only reason I could possibly disagree is because I want to shut women up. thats what I meant.

Do you think women are responsible for men’s violence?

Can you also use @? there have been numerous posts about the size of quotes (I appreciate you didnt say all of it).

I know this isnt at me, but truth and I are on the same hymn sheet here.

Truth said earlier that non violent women and non violent men have far more in common than the violent of both. Non violent men are no more to blame in solving the problem than women. I appreciate Pumper's response in the effectiveness of that, but could you imagine I suggested women worked in reforming men? the outrage.
