I couldn’t care less that she’s a working class woman, as am I. I couldn’t care less about her “breeding”. That’s not a phrase I would ever use and that’s not what I said, nor do I think any kind of “refined” education is better than her background. It’s clearly not because she represents more of the population than the Tory toffs because of her working class background. You’ve paraphrased what I said and changed it into something completely different.
@Rhondapearlman Paraphrasing is putting something into your own words while retaining the original meaning of the source. If you feel I've misinterpreted your post, no problem I'll accept I'm wrong, but I've not paraphrased anything.
I've directly quoted your entire post and when you lead with something like "she's thick as mince" and make comments about how she speaks then that's how it came across to me.
I care that she can’t give a viable alternative whenever she’s interviewed and asked about what alternative action she would take, to whatever issue she is talking about. She a lot of bluster and very little substance. She lets herself down because of this.
That's literally every politician ever. I don't think I've every heard one give a straight answer or do anything other than disagree with the opposition when asked for an alternative. But AR seems to get a particularly hard time because of how she speaks and presents herself compared to others, which I can only assume is down to her class. The only other politician I have seen get similar levels of abuse is Mhairi Black, who is also from a working class background and doesn't try to hide her roots. Seems to be a bit of a theme that if your female and from a certain background you're somehow thick and uncouth.
