This new site sucks

Hey Mumsnet, this new version of the site sucks. I’m sick of having to log in every time I want to do anything, I’m sick of it not updating so I’m having to trawl for new threads. When I do find anything, I can’t read it properly? But I can’t find any information from you about what’s going on, or when it’ll be fixed?

The app doesn't work properly now either.

Can you please change it back to only the OPs posts being green MN!!!

I hate hate the fact that mine are also green rather than the old pink. I keep mixing my posts up with the OPs and getting confused 🤣

They haven't done away with it.

You are by no means the only one! I'm not sure why it changed to "all green" for some people - it didn't for me.

I've said this a few times already. This happens every time they make a big change. Dozens and dozens of threads complaining and threatening to leave.

But that's the frustrating thing, they act like amateurs rolling out glitchy, seemingly untested, rubbish EVERY SINGLE TIME they make a change. Why on earth haven't they worked out how to roll out an update in a professional way yet?

So much glaring whiteness. And what isn't glaring white is glaring pale blue. I've already got my screen (laptop) on a low brightness setting, which is perfect for everything else I do.

Who the hell thought this colour scheme was a good idea?

And why does everything have to be over one side of the screen. The previous layout was so much pleasanter to read especially for those of us who can cope with long lines of text.

It's bloody awful.

It wouldn't surprise me if the new layout was designed with the sole purpose of creating more ad space. I'm on a p.c with an adblocker and everything is squished over to the left with a disproportionate amount of white screen on the right I wonder why that is, if not for ads? "More content, fewer ads? Sign up to Premium".

Layout is really weird - huge fonts and spaces but narrow column for reading & very small, uncomfortable box for writing in. Much preferred the old layout for this.

Have to scroll all the way down to the bottom to post a reply - can we have a reply button at the top of the thread?

Yeah I noticed that after I had posted when I went onto another thread. Someone on here said it had gone. Glad it hasn't.

Mine looks same as always apart from the fact that Trending/Active which is what I used to use all the time is showing nothing but years old threads and not showing anything current- what is that about?!

I'm on a laptop with low'sih light setting and i haven't got pale blue ! <jealous>

It's white and a very slightly less white white.

My first observation was why can we no longer view all messages instead of having to scroll from page to page?

Not a fan - and I really dislike the ability that people now have to double/triple/quadruple/quintuple quote. I have been on websites in the past that do/allow this (I think digital spy is one such site,) and it's really off-putting as it looks messy
