schoolofsexed.org/where

The School of Sexuality Education (which worked on the ‘Family Sex Show’) is apparently delivering sex ed in many schools across the U.K…

Given the organisation feels it appropriate that unvetted Twitter randoms strip naked to talk to 5 year olds about masturbation, not to mention their strong ‘gender’ ideology, I feel it important that MN users are made aware of this.

Interested in any thoughts as well.

@FairyLightPups

Ffs but she's not! She's not being taught that! The very first gendery thing to be taught is about how stereotypes are not the reality and how different genders can do ANYTHING!
How can they teach that gender stereotypes are wrong but ‘gender’ as a concept is great, something to be encouraged, and that liking football might well make you a boy?

The two are irreconcilable

@Organictangerine gender is fab. I love being a woman. Gender stereotypes less so. No one is teaching that liking football makes you a boy or my lesbian life partner would very much be a trans man by now, and she's not.

Organictangerine · 16/04/2022 21:16

Okay @FairyLightPups

When a government minister makes an enormous fuck up and gets sacked, it doesn’t mean ALL their work was shit. Or even most of it. But it means that one error of judgement or episode of incompetence completely undermines them to the extent where their position is untenable.

That’s how I feel about this charity and it’s support of the Family Sex Show.

This was one of the threads about the company’s theatrical production:

@Organictangerine

There’s an interactive map with lots of ‘banana skins’ on but it doesn’t say the name of the schools.
What is the banana skin logo all about anyway? I mean it’s apt…
Organictangerine · 16/04/2022 21:17

@Snugglepumpkin

I am very disappointed to see they are sponsored by Moon cup amongst others. Why are so many companies who literally rely on female biology for their existence prepared to assist in the grooming & mutilation of young girls?

That's another company I will no longer use, along with every other company listed as their sponsors.

I thought that too. And Honour Your Flow - won’t be buying from them again.

I quite agree. But one piece of work does not mean its okay to slag off something that will undoubtably have a really positive impact on the young people who receive it. Sex ed right now is a mess and quite frankly if outside charities are coming in to do it properly then I welcome it.
FairyLightPups · 16/04/2022 21:19

@Organictangerine 'what is gender?'

Meh, I don't know! I know I'm a woman because I'm a lesbian. The two kind of go hand in hand. You might have your own experience of it.

nitsandwormsdodger · 16/04/2022 21:19

If men are exposing their genitalia to children that is a crime why haven’t you reported this?
Non dbs checked adults in a school can plunge the school into special measures for bad safeguarding practices so I doubt that is true
Seriously weird post, if you have concerns raise them with your local safeguarding team

FloraPostePosts · 16/04/2022 21:19

I’m not making any value judgments, just here to point out that the way that Google maps and other systems work is to pinpoint the centre of the postcode area in which the target is situated, rather than the specific building concerned. That might explain the apparent discrepancies some of you are identifying.

It has been reported!!!! And vague responses have been received along the lines of ‘this is nothing to do with us’

@Organictangerine because of the rich history women have. Because we're strong as fook, and there are generations of brilliant women who have done amazing things despite what men have tried to do. Because I wouldn't be a lesbian without being a woman and lesbianism rocks. Many, many reasons. I don't think it's unusual to love being a woman!

You’re describing sex not gender.

Which proves my point quite nicely.

There's at least three schools on that list within a four mile radius to me.

Thankfully ours is not but mine are in primary.

tabbycatstripy · 16/04/2022 21:27

No school should have any affiliation with an organisation that is putting on “The Family Sex Show”.

It’s not just about the curriculum materials. It’s about making safeguarding decisions based on what you know about the adults offering the service. And you know they support showing 5 year olds naked strangers and talking to them about sex.

FairyLightPups · 16/04/2022 21:27

@Organictangerine Ha, nope.

Muminabun · 16/04/2022 21:28

Have just read their website and looked at their links. More red flags here than a communist rally.
This is awful seriously. Grooming in plain sight.

WonderfulYou · 16/04/2022 21:29

What school was it where they showed a naked person to a bunch of 5 year olds?

I have glanced at the website and it looks pretty good.

I definitely think more emphasis should be put on consent and sexual violence and coercion etc which it seems it’s doing - rather than this is a penis and this is a vagina, it’s what you need to have sex.
We don’t use the word clitorus as that’s for the females pleasure and only males should enjoy sex etc etc.

I do not get the concerns on this thread but I will research more into it.
My child’s school nor my school is on it anyway.

In my area it does not give names, only the beginning of the postcode.

Weirdly, the page i clicked to had a pea green vagina made of play doh on it.

Those bananas are yellow clitorisus.

But you don't get the concerns. Aye, right.
