To give a different perspective to the dog hating thread.

We've got a 14 month Doberman.

She's lovely, well trained, I always pick up her poo, great recall.

We are met with a lot of dislike and hate.

Because she's a lockdown puppy, because she is a large bread, because she runs fast, but does not go near people.

We lost our other dog 18 months previously, I initially said never again. But I realised the 14 years joy he gave, made up for the pain of losing him.

Picture for effect.

YANBU ❤️

I feel like people who hate dogs are so different to me that we can't be more than acquaintances really.

I've just gone on a waiting list for another golden retriever puppy. I lost my eldest in January and it broke my heart, I miss him every day. I usually have three dogs, and there is such a big gaping hole without him. I have a one year old and most people think I'm batshit 🤣

Lovely thread. DH is the dog person in this house. Both times he's persuaded me... first a rescue lab and now a Welsh Springer puppy.

The second time I had a border line panic attack when collecting him because I was convinced a puppy would be too much work etc. The very second he was placed in my arms I fell in love.

He's grown up now and he's an amazing dog, so well behaved, so gentle and yes, I always pick up his poo and no, he isn't allowed to run up to children.

He is the most loyal dog you could ever meet. He also makes no noise. In a life where I am on Teams meetings all day until I'm sick of the sound of my own voice and then have the children running around shouting I appreciate his silent affection more than I can say.

Absolutely loving all the beautiful dogs Smile
We lost our our old staffy girl who's was 16 last summer and the whole she left was immense. We are now the proud owners of this vicious beast who has brought so much joy back in to our family.
