First off, I'd like to say yes I am a bit jealous as I really wish I wasn't worrying and stressing about the increasing heating bills etc. but seeing Mrs Hinch showing off the full downstairs underfloor heating she's having fitted just now is leaving a bad taste in my mouth. I'm having a late lunch having some soup and wrapped in a hoodie AND a hoodie blanket as I've had to switch off my heating during the day to save money and keep it at bare minimum in the evenings.

I just feel she should be a bit mindful that loads of her followers might be feeling a bit crap about it with the increase in bills etc.

Don't get me wrong, it's great she can afford to do it and her new house is lovely, but I just think she should be thinking twice about posting updates of all the expensive work she's having done! I have since muted her stories so I can't see them lol!

I'm also curious to know how much the full mutual in Rons room cost lol!

YABU - get a grip, the energy bills crisis is not that big a deal

YANBU - she should maybe think twice before posting.

I just don’t understand the angst. It’s not compulsory to follow mrs Hinch. Or watch any other celeb advertising any other thing. If you don’t like it just don’t watch..

This is 100% not the point of the thread, but where do you live OP that you need to wrap up that warm? I’ve got two small kids and only have put the heating on for an hour in the morning and evening this week and we’ve been fine
Not the OP but It's been fairly warm here all week but its absolutely bloody freezing here today and its actually trying to snow 😭

To be honest it feels very decadent having the heating on at all in the last week of March, I always feel I should get to the end of Feb and turn it off. Why would you have your heating on all day anyway?
It’s been snowing were I live today! Not enough to settle but it’s still pretty cold.

I saw something similar on a picture of paddy McGinnis gifting his wife a huge bunch of flowers, that he should be more mindful of people who can't afford that sort of thing. Have people become that arrogant and self centered that they expect people they don't know to consider their personal circumstances before living their lives???

Do you really find it so outlandish that someone might live in the (gasp) NORTH!

Like many other posters, it's been snowing where I live today. Not really settling, but certainly properly cold.

I mean I haven't seen her actually post any of her cleaning stuff in months. Seems she's just become a home/decor/wealthy mumfluencer type person. Completely miles away from what she became famous for.

I find it quite bizarre tbh.

Yes!!!! This is what's got under my skin! It's like she's abandoned 'who she is' for this new home reno lifestyle!

I have unfollowed her now. I did buy into it all at the start but I quickly ditched the Zoflora and moved over to Method.

I don't wish her bad or anything like that, she can splash her cash how she wishes, but I just feel she could use her platform more wisely, links for donating to the Ukraine etc.

Yabu, and I have never seen any of her posts/blogs/sm, have no clue what she even looks like.

People just need to worry about themselves and their own lives, what others do or do not spend is of no relevance and we all do better by avoiding comparison- it is the thief of joy. If you find yourself being distressed by the woman's posts then don't look. If more did that then she would just fizzle out or find a way to adapt her style to appeal to people again.

I think it's more that she's not a normal woman doing cleaning and sharing normal relatable content anymore.

She's a member of the incredibly rich... and has all the gloss that goes with that. And her fan base doesn't want that.

Wow, that’s harsh. Who’s to say she’ll become a “has been”. What is a “has been” anyway? Someone who has become successful and is no longer in the limelight? I bet she’s quite savvy and will be very comfortable should she wish to retire from the spotlight.

A friend bought me her book , grey of course, for Christmas and I put it on ebay last night with a starting price of 99p.
I couldn't bear to even open it.

I follow her but I've never bought a single thing she's advertised. I just follow for the dog really and now the alpacas but I am enjoying her new home renovation.
I think if you're the sort of person to be negatively affected by her account then it's best to unfollow.
I used to follow some accounts of beautiful big Victorian houses and although I have a lovely home I started to feel discontent with it so I stopped following.
Although I couldn't do what she does for a living I think good for her. She works hard (whatever you may think of the type of work) and has made a nice life for her family including extended family.
As for the point about her being a has been, I think she's made enough money now for that not to matter!

I'm fairly financially secure thank goodness so don't need to worry and she gives me the ick so it must be so much worse for those who are choosing between heating and eating to watch her.
You can unfollow her of course, but she's still gonna be there flaunting, pretending to be genuine when she just isn't and fleecing people along the way.

She re-released her 'book' with an extra chapter about the birth of her second child. Why oh why would anyone buy it?? I'll never know. People have babies every day. Wtf makes hers so special?!

She advertised makeup whilst very clearly using a filter. She's lied about umpteen things including the size of her feet. It's bloody insane. She put up a pic of her son in the cold weather and (badly) drew gloves onto his hands. Like why??!! Her son is so far non verbal and she actually dubbed over one of her insta stories, making it look like he said something when he hadn't. If she told me the sky was blue I wouldn't believe her.

The money she has spent on that mural for her son is a sin. It's gotta be thousands. I showed the video of it to my 7 year old. He looked at me with a scrunched up face and exclaimed 'mummy that's creepy'

Anyone who says anything against her is a 'troll' when actually all they are doing is pointing out the level of her con!!

Go to tattle life and look for Mrs Hinch thread 500. Make up your own mind based on the evidence there.

With Social media I think people should take responsibility for what they look at. For some people the stories may make them feel bad, for others, like me, they might enjoy them. If they make you feel bad don't watch them.

There may be more people feeling the pinch now, but there was plenty of us struggling before now. I haven't been able to use my heating at all this autumn/winter. But looking at people doing better than myself is nice (for me).
