To be pissed off at DH - After holiday

We get home from a city break. I always strip the bed before a trip. So i make the bed and DH puts the disgusting suitcase on it!

I'm not a germaphobe just an average person that likes a clean house, but come on! It's common sense, its been on a filthy plane, in bathrooms, dragged around numerous cities, now all of that is on our lovely fresh bedding!

That excitement of getting into a clean bed after a good scrub off the holiday shower is now tainted

It was on the inside of the bedding and sheet. If it was the outside i wouldnt mind as much
I would have changed the bed again.

YANBU , I totally get you OP, that's the kind of thing my OH does, I find it disgusting, suitcases get draged everywhere, probably they are dirtier than a toilett seat, why would anyone would want to put in on the bed?

I've never even considered it. Suitcase has always gone on the bed Confused now considering it, still couldn't and won't get het up about it.

I have my food served on plates. I don't eat food placed directly on a table.

YANBU. I usually don't care about stuff like this and do things considered unhygienic. However I happen to know that this is the most common way that bedbugs are spread. Bedbugs have made a comeback in the last 10 years and it is a big problem in the US now. Some friends I know brought them back with a suitcase on the bed from a hotel in Rome and that's the only reason I know about it. It cost them hundreds of pounds and a huge amount of incontinence to get rid of them, it turned out to be very stressful for them. So If you ever stay in a hotel don't put your bag on the bed leave it far away from the bed

Stripping the bed wouldn't make any difference because they infest in the mattress and under in the woodwork. Makes no difference if it's a high end hotel either!
