Dh follows me to bed

So obviously there are times when dh and I go to bed together but sometimes I like to go up first. I like pottering about, having some wind down time to myself. I'll read a bit in bed then doze off. Lately dh has started coming to bed at same time as me (regardless how early) he's in bed in seconds and wants light off straight to sleep. It bugs my routine but obviously I can't say anything as iabu.

Just wondering if there's anything your oh do that annoy you but you don't feel you can say because they are not really doing anything wrong?

Separate rooms is the way forward.

I've been single a while now, occasionally think it would be nice not to be, but threads like this remind me of some of the benefits of living alone!! FWB uses whichever mug he's given & never starfishes in my bed!!

Speak to him about it and if he ignores you and if you have a spare room move into it, I did, much better for us.

But whenI was in a relationship we'd go bed at the same time, have a chat & a cuddle then go sleep. Occasionally we'd read, but only if we both wanted to.

No TV in the bedroom, not even now it's only me.

I feel the same about bedtime; sometimes I go up half an hour before I plan to go to sleep to read or watch something and DH comes up and I’m a bit put out but can’t say anything

What about getting dressed through? Where am I meant to do that? The landing?

We have our own bedrooms and our own mugs - life is good 😁

I understand the mug hierarchy. But DH always gives guests the crap ones. He won’t let me throw them away and he does use them. But he shouldn’t use them for guests!!!

We have a no tv in bedroom policy here too. I think separate rooms are great and more couples have their own rooms than people think. Love the phrase "bang bang" films! Until you mentioned Steven Seagull I was a bit at what sort of films your dh was watching!

Poster with mug issues - tell your DH that 3 of the mugs are yours! Get him his own favourites. My DH and DC know not to use my best mug
