Why do people insist on smoking in doorways!?

If you want to go into a shop or a pub why is it acceptable to get blasted in the face with second hand smoke?

You go to a CHILDREN’S play park where you'll find groups of parents smoking....
School gates....

I mean Really!!!!

Why isn't smoking banned in outdoor public places yet!?

It's crazy.

Perhaps convert portaloos into smoking pods council to buy a bulk- one on every street.

Make smoking illegal anywhere in public - but by all means if you smoke and need a hit - jump in the nearest pod!

I’ve never seen anyone smoking outside a play park or a primary school, that is pretty rough. I can’t get worked up about people smoking in other places though.

I'm guessing you quit to better your health so why would you like inhaling second hand smoke?

There’s one main entrance to our hospital and you walk through from the car park and up steps through a cloud of smoke. Massive no smoking sign that they lean against. I hate it.

Tbf smoking outside isn't an issue, it's where people choose to do it.
Outside a shop or restaurant door: not okay. In a designated smoking area or in a wide open space away from others: okay.

I do get very pissed off when non-smokers complain that the outdoor area of a pub or restaurant is full of smokers. Like aye, that area probably wouldn't be there if it wasn't used all year round by smokers.

But anyone wanting to go through the door has to walk through the smoke and breathe it in. So that doesn't make it OK.

YANBU it’s revolting and really should be banned in playgrounds.

DS goes to swimming lessons at a school and every week without fail this Dad lights up as soon as he has dropped off his child while walking off the school campus. Why not just wait the 30 seconds to actually be off the campus so those of us and our kids who haven’t yet dropped off don’t have to smell it? Vile vile vile.

Does the smoke actually know where the fence is? If he left he campus and then lit up........ wind direction etc.?

You say that like all the mean non smokers have stopped you . If you want to smoke it. It ages you, kills you and has literally 0 benefits but by all means you do you.

Or smokers could just agree to be considerate to other people? I guess in the same way you don’t fart around people or pick your nose and eat it when people are watching. Little social considerations.
