Partner stopping bill money after DLA award

We have been awarded middle rate DLA for our 3yo DC.
Partner usually sends me £270 bill money but since finding out we are getting 240 for DCs DLA he has said he is stopping the bill money as DLA gets paid to my account.
I argue we need this extra money and at the end of the month I tend to end up borrowing his card for basic groceries and it's supposed to be for extra things DC needs due to his autism.

So

you're getting the money into your account, he can stop paying that part of bill money in

YANBU
DLA should be for DCs extra needs and food shopping for family

@SleepingStandingUp
That's pretty much what I meant. Clearly the bills are already covered in this situation so withdrawing money is stealing opportunity. Not sure how we are at odds in our thoughts.

Sorry, its just all the "it's not meant for bills" stuff from various posters I can see throwing someone into a wobble over having not kept the receipt fro mwhen she brought X five years ago. We are I agreement re OPs DP, the d stands for dickhead

Tell him to get a grip and keep putting the money across

My ex was controlling with money. He paid the mortgage and bills. He was self employed and claimed CTC. He would give me £30 a week for shopping and nappies. I applied for DLA and carers for both children but kept it secret. I had it paid into a separate high interest savings account in they're name and used it for a deposit on a house and moving costs etc. He came round about a week after I left and accused me of having his money. He ment the child tax credits he had paid into his account and never let me have access to. It was for our children not him. He was earning too much to claim anything. I had £29 left when I left. I didn't see why my kids should have to see him slowly kill himself. He lost his house, declared bankrupt during the credit crunch and now has liver failure and his family blame me for leaving because he started drinking more. He obviously didn't tell them the full story.
