Found a black hair grip …

DH is at work, I’m in the middle of a deep clean. Whilst I was hoovering I found in the corner of the bedroom, kind of camouflaged into the carpet a black hair grip/Bobby pin whatever they’re called.
I’m blonde and have always been blonde, my kids are toddlers so do not use hair grips. No one else has been in our bedroom that would explain it.
I’ve also been away all week with the kids.

Aibu to be suspicious??? I’m also pregnant so know I don’t think rationally sometimes atm

I want to know more about the sherbet lemon hasn’t anyone got a theory?

Hen2018 · 11/03/2022 22:59

It’s probably one of mine.

Eyerollsigh · 11/03/2022 23:07

Wait, there's different types??

Lineofconcepcion · 12/03/2022 00:14

I guess providing the head wasn't attached as well you shouldn't worry . . .

@GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal

I'm not sure I'd jump to conclusions over a Bobby pin, those things get everywhere. Come the apocalypse there'll just be them and the cockroaches left.
This! I'm sure I've lost them in all manner of places over the years.

When you want one, nowhere to be seen. Then I'm hoovering them up when I've not seen one for months!

EveryFlightBeginsWithAFall · 12/03/2022 00:32

Also it could have been walked in on the bottom of someone's shoe

@Gardengate45

Does your husband have long hair? Perhaps he was trying out a new style?
Hahahaha
Frollop · 12/03/2022 02:32

Sometimes it appears to be easier to be single then having trust issues over a partner....it's draining.
Hopefully it's nothing to worry about.

Hair pins come from people who wear them. Sadly it’s that simple

Well your need them to pick locks.

Like health visitors and family coming over when your pregnant.
FateHasRedesignedMost · 12/03/2022 10:26

It could have been one of the toddlers picking it up somewhere and dropping it, then moving it. Or toddler attaching it to your jumper unnoticed (mine did that once!)

I wouldn’t worry about it.

DrPeppersPhD · 12/03/2022 10:46

My favourite thing about this thread is not that the OP seems to think a bobby pin (which as everyone knows get everywhere) is clear evidence that her DH is cheating, but that she says "kind of camouflaged into the carpet", as though her clearly adulterous husband is going to spot his mistress' hairpin on the floor and try to camouflage it in the hopes OP won't see it, as opposed to, you know, removing the evidence.

whynotwhatknot · 12/03/2022 11:53

I didnt even know they came in diffferent colours havent bought some for years

Tequilamockinbird · 12/03/2022 12:03

I found one in the bottom of my handbag. I don't use them, and nobody has borrowed my bag for anything.

I have no idea how the hell it got there!

Liz1tummypain · 12/03/2022 12:20

yes, they get everywhere. Unless you have axtual evidence of wring-doing then I'm sure there's nothing going on here.
