Also Merseyside. Doors keep blowing open and house shaking, which didn't happen with Eunice. It's been doing this all night. Cynical part of me is wondering if the South East hasn't been hit that badly so...
But also willing to think that it was the huge gusts that made Eunice so bad for some areas, whereas Franklin is just consistently very windy but not quite "rip rooves off" windy.

drinkingwineoutofamug · 21/02/2022 06:05

How was this a yellow warning?!
The winds are worse than Friday. I'm just about to leave the house for walk and dreading it.

Muffinbutton · 21/02/2022 06:12

We're still without power from Eunice, so I think my fear levels are heighten as we're now facing Franklin in a cold quiet house. No way to drown out the noise.

BackwardsPrawn · 21/02/2022 06:12

East Midlands and the wind is way, way worse than anything over the previous few days.

Next door's fence has been hanging on by a thread but surely this is going to heal it? If it goes, it'll take my fence with it, I think.

On the other side, they must be feeling brave because they've left the trampoline up throughout!

SlipperySlope99 · 21/02/2022 06:12

Liverpool here- wind woke me at 5.15, couldn’t get back to sleep so have been up and listening to the howls since then, it’s none stop and raging, no rain or hail though

BackwardsPrawn · 21/02/2022 06:13

Those facing walking dogs this morning, please be careful (and skip it if you can)!

Gilead · 21/02/2022 06:14

North East, far worth than Eunice, no sleep at all!

Oldtiredfedup · 21/02/2022 06:18

East Mids here - seems worse than Eunice to me. Bins over, water coming in through our front door, massive gusts. I’m supposed to be getting in thd M1 for school soon and I’m in two minds whether to call and say we won’t be coming in

notangelinajolie · 21/02/2022 06:19

This is by far the worst storm.

Phyllis321 · 21/02/2022 06:23

Oxfordshire here - it's still fairly bad out there. Has been howling all night.

OhToBeinDeutschland · 21/02/2022 06:26

Manchester here too. DS due to go and do his paper rounds on his bike before his mock exam. Not sure about that!

ClariceQuiff · 21/02/2022 06:29

Yes - just got up because I couldn't bear the noise lying in bed.

fluckityfluckfluck · 21/02/2022 06:30

I'm in lancs, dreading the drive to work. Up half the night too. It sounds wild.

Thetrinitylights · 21/02/2022 06:31

Lincs here it’s horrendous I was supposed to be going onto the A1 but thought best not!

Tubeoftoothpaste · 21/02/2022 06:36

I'm on the south Cumbrian coast. This is the wildest storm so far.

JengaNonConfirming · 21/02/2022 06:38

I'm in Gloucestershire and the wind has been horrible here, keeping me awake most of the night. There's some temporary fencing just opposite my house, which keeps clanking on the metal it's attached too. I've only had a few hours sleep and feel terrible. Also starting to worry about DD driving to work in it.

Summersdreaming · 21/02/2022 06:39

I've been awake since 4. In the NW and it is howling. Completing on a house tomorrow and worrying if it will still have a roof.

Notjustanymum · 21/02/2022 06:42

South-East, and the wind noise has been much worse than Eunice - dog was unable to sleep and woke us up at 3am to go outside (to “investigate” the noises!)
It’s still noisy now!

Mummytobe93 · 21/02/2022 06:43

This is exactly what I’ve said to my mum yesterday - the wind is far worse than on Friday as it’s constant! I’m surprised my fence is still standing 🙏 (I’m in Hampshire)

Maggiesgirl · 21/02/2022 06:44

The middle of Salisbury Plain here, at the top of a hill. Already lost all our fences in Eunice, but this is much worse. Green house tied down but really worried we will still lose it.

It's so loud, the conservatory roof is creaking like anything, much eorse than Eunice.

BarbaraofSeville · 21/02/2022 06:45

I've been awake since about 2 am, thank you perimenopausal insomnia and the wind is the worst I've heard of all the recent storms here (West Yorks).

JessicaKenny2018 · 21/02/2022 06:45

Norfolk, really noisy here, worse than the wind noise Friday, not looking forward to the school run roads lined with trees 😫

MrsNoelFielding · 21/02/2022 06:47

In Cheshire and Franklin’s far worse than Eunice! I’ve been awake for most of the night!

Really don’t want to drive in these conditions but hopefully it’ll start to ease soon!

EveryAvenue · 21/02/2022 06:49

Manchester and this wind is horrific. Have to leave for work (40 min drive) in ten minutes. Sad

LaPufalina · 21/02/2022 06:49

I'm in Manchester too and can hear roof tiles rattling Sad
