Never heard of the word which is the answer to Wordle today. Anyone else the same?

Another who got it in 3 but we renovated 3 years back and it featured a lot! Never heard of it before the renovation!

It's a completely normal UK word that I didn't think was unusual although it was tricky to get due to the spelling and letter combinations. I got it in 4.
I'm astounded at how many people don't know the word!

I haven't got it for days. It's definitely harder!

After row 3 I had the last 4 letters so was basically down to a choice of two words.

Annoyingly I went for the wrong one so got it in 5, but still have my 100% streak after 45 days so I'm as smug as the dog who isn't in the cone of shame.

Had heard of it, despite not getting it today in 6 goes!

Ironically I’d used the very word recently. We had a gap between the skirting board and wall, so my DF used some painter’s c to fill it!

Woulda got it in 7 yea genuinely I messed up last attempt with a typo that happened to also be a word! Bloody thing!

Had the middle 3 letters correct from 2nd attempt

I do know it but there are lots of people wouldn't my dd wouldn't know that word

I knew it because I live in a new build….can’t say anymore or spoiler! Just that we had to have this sorted after snagging.

Very helpful to learn about the technical glitch (I also had bizarre Greek word yesterday). I refreshed my browser and unsurprisingly got 1/1 on nytimes version. That will be first and last time…

Oh, I thought it was a fairly common word, but then I am doing a lot of decorating at the moment.

Got it in 3 - it’s a pretty normal word if you’re reasonably literate, I’d have thought. Not out of the ordinary.

How do you get it show that? I can't find where to blank out the letters.

I knew it. It's a common English word if you go to a diy store

Dordle and Quordle are both good, too. DD2 (14) got the proper hump with me yesterday because I'd already done the wordle and Dordle when she thought of doing it with me

Am a newbie to wordle and presume you need to do share etc to get the tiles version. Anyway I don’t share so here’s a screenshot of my running score. I knew where the word was from the clues today. So first attempt with proof. Ok?!

It's more common in America, and if you are into DIY.

I knew it because of researching an ancestor who worked in shipbuilding - it also means waterproofing ships with tar and filling gaps between wooden panels.

For those seeking proof. 3 is the best I've ever done, I almost got 2 twice but I was a letter or two off.
