AIBU to not know today's Wordle answer?

Never heard of the word which is the answer to Wordle today. Anyone else the same?

I think a good trick is to sacrifice your first two lines to frequent letters, which should get you the first answer on 3.
Keep an eye on previously rejected letters so you don’t waste a line.
The words also seem to be distributed 1 easy, 2 medium and 1 stickler.
I haven’t gone below 7/9 lines yet.

I take it this is today’s rather than the one on this thread. Hard with too many possibilities for letter 4. I also didn’t get it but had no idea of the possible word until the 4th attempt so too late to try the tactic of incorrect words with possible missing letter candidates.

Thanks. Yesterday was horrible but it really is luck of the draw. It makes it fun but frustrating in equal measure.

Grrr. That's two days in a row where I have got the 'outline' of a word and ended up with more possibles than lines-left. Today I was lucky in choosing a correct guess, yesterday I ran out of lines.
