Never heard of the word which is the answer to Wordle today. Anyone else the same?

Today's word is AROMA for me? Is it not the same for everybody?

gogohm · 16/02/2022 14:59

It's sealant, they sell it in b&q. It's a normal word

Comefromaway · 16/02/2022 14:59

I got it in 3 which amazed me

CharacterForming · 16/02/2022 15:01

Aroma was yesterday (unless you had a link to the legacy site in which case it was Agora which genuinely is tricky).

LilacPaisley · 16/02/2022 15:01

Today's word is AROMA for me? Is it not the same for everybody?

Mine was AROMA a few days ago.

LBOCS2 · 16/02/2022 15:02

This made me laugh today...

Todays word struck me as slightly obscure but not unfairly so.

LilacPaisley · 16/02/2022 15:02

Mine was AROMA a few days ago

Or possibly yesterday:}

emmathedilemma · 16/02/2022 15:07

nope, not a clue what it is! I only got it through process of elimination of what letters I had that might make a word that sounded plausible (some of my attempts weren't even words!)

Unhomme · 16/02/2022 15:08

Hmm. Agora was yesterday. I'll be.ready for tomorrow's!!

I'm also doing quordle and worldle.teuteuf.fr/

PitchImperfect · 16/02/2022 15:09

Mine was agora yesterday & aroma today & then I refreshed to get the NYT version so I could do the same word as everyone else!

Pedalpushers · 16/02/2022 15:09

I got it while I was cleaning my teeth, the bathroom inspired me!

hanahsaunt · 16/02/2022 15:12

I am neither American nor a sailor but I have always read widely so a v familiar word.

RincewindsHat · 16/02/2022 15:17

I only knew it because I Googled how to do it recently and learned that was the word for what I wanted!

MrsMingech · 16/02/2022 15:23

I thought it had something to do with baby cows.

Until I Googled it.

thegreylady · 16/02/2022 15:24

It’s not American. Boatbuilders and decorators use it. It was a darn site easier than the agora/aroma one the other day.

Poppins2016 · 16/02/2022 15:26

@CorrBlimeyGG

You need to do more DIY? Nothing more satisfying than a good ***ing.
I quite agree 😁

... a relative said it was a 'weird' word, but doesn't seem weird to me, as I do lots of DIY and love ***ing!

Sidge · 16/02/2022 15:27

I didn't get it - first time I'v failed!

I used my last go on the same word with B instead of the starter letter. (Cryptic)

Sob. My record is now broken.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 16/02/2022 15:29

I can honestly say I've never used that word in general conversation. I got it in 4 though.

YellowLemonshade · 16/02/2022 15:35

@JungleJimbo

Got it in second guess
Wow!! What did you start with?! That's amazing
Crimesean · 16/02/2022 15:40

@randomsabreuse

It was the bane of my life decorating, but I first learned it in a historical naval fiction context...
Me too!
whiteworldgettingwhiter · 16/02/2022 15:42

Hold on, my word was agora yesterday then a very similar one today - what's going on??

Silverswirl · 16/02/2022 15:42

Yes I’ve heard it a lot because FIL uses that quite a bit when he fixes and fills stuff

Mummyoflittledragon · 16/02/2022 15:44

Thanks for the clues. I got it in one and have been pronounced genius. Grin

Mummyoflittledragon · 16/02/2022 15:44

Now that’s a clue too far…
