To think ut makes sense for the parent leaving the house for work to do the nursery run?

Goes past the nursery so this makes sense, but is it unfair always to be one person?

People are being very odd on this thread...

I do drop offs every morning (3 days) because the time is a bit tight for DH to get to work with the drop off without it being a stress - it is on his way! Pick up depends on the day - Mon and Tues i go home and then to an exercise class so he does it. Wed i tend to work later so will pick up on my way home (but we only have one car seat).

If it was causing me a lot of stress in the mornings and my husband was available to do it i have no doubt that he would.

@Tartankilts

You’re providing limited information

It is a MN thread, not evidence at the old Bailey.

Eg if one parent does pick up, DCs’ tea and bedtime five days a week, that’s a lot more than a nursery drop off five days a week

It would not make my mornings any less stressful.

Besides, I have clarified I do pick ups. More than once.

If you do pick up, he should do drop off. That's fair.

How long does it take dh to get to and from nursery?

In first instance yes it makes sense the person leaving house does drop off BUT if it makes them stuck in traffic AND the at home person can get home quickly as no traffic then you would make person at home do drop off

It sounds like DH should do the drop offs and you can do the pickups.
