What do you think am I being unreasonable for thinking the 5 letter word choice for today is controversial. The creator of the game is apparently English and it has a co.uk address.

Stuff like this really marks out the newbies from those of us Wordle long-timers ...

There's a whole other thread titled Can a letter appear twice in Wordle - yes it can.

And now this angst over US spellings. Might try angst tomorrow actually...

I only got it because I saw someone on Facebook complaining about the US spelling and therefore I could guess the last two letters straight away.

With a biology background it's a word I'm quite familiar with.

From my options on the second attempt it couldn't have been anything else.

Yabu The inventor is British but now lives in New York and has sold it to the NY times.

Today's gave me more trouble.

@DrSbaitso I got lucky today on getting the first two letters in the correct place and the other 3 letters jumbled in my first two words.

I got it in 4 but it was a struggle.

I didn't see this thread yesterday but just wanted to leave this here. I knew about the American spellings and was lucky!
