He's hiding in the fucking fridge again, isn't he?

Does anyone really believe that Boris Johnson has suddenly had to go into isolation? How many times over the past months has he blithely disregarded various rules and guidelines as it suited his agenda? Now he's under a bit of well-deserved pressure, and oops-a-daisy! he's in isolation.

The really depressing thing - about Trump in America, Boris Johnson here, and crass right-wing populist idiocracy in general, is that it will have no effect on voters, bar a little disgruntled muttering. We've created a society in which the scum, not the cream, rises to the top. I dread to think what the next couple of decades are going to be like.

@Clavinova

The Conservative party said Lubov Chernukhin was a British citizen "which gives her the democratic and legal right to donate to a political party”

As is Ms Lee..... soooo what exactly are you objecting too ?

DroopyClematis · 13/01/2022 21:23

If he's in the fridge then he can only stay there for 5 days, surely?

I must say I have really enjoyed @Clavinova's contributions to this thread this evening. They more than any other poster on here help us reveal the true nature of the Prime Minister and his government.

Most items I put in a fridge have a best before date and aren't improved by being taken out for a while and then put back in again.

How long ago was Boris' best before date?

Alexandra2001 · 13/01/2022 21:30

@jgw1 Yes indeed! very similar on the brexit threads... very entertaining, great resilience.

The whole Chinese spy thing is what i believe is called a dead cat.

Ms Lee appears to have done nothing wrong at all (on present evidence) and if she was known about as having links to the Chinese communist party for at least a decade, then why did Mrs May congratulate her fostering Sino/uk relations? and why was she allowed to continue to make representations to MPs?

So as far as i can see, its purpose was to divert from Bojo's worries.

llanssannan · 13/01/2022 21:30

@jgw1 About 2004, when Michael Howard sacked him from the shadow front bench for lying about a relationship.

I had forgot that Michael Howard managed to do something right.

The Telegraph reporting another 2 parties

🚨EXCLUSIVE

Number 10 held two boozy parties the night before the Queen mourned Prince Philip alone.

Staff drank and at points danced until the early hours of the night of April 16.

Hours later, the Queen went to a socially-distanced funeral for Philip.

Any guesses on the next Squirrel ? I am going to say boats laden with immigrants, a usual crowd pleaser ?

DuncinToffee · 13/01/2022 22:01

Rehash that No 10 is a big place?

the80sweregreat · 13/01/2022 22:03

Nothing on the news about the other parties.
It's all about PA and the civil case.

My sons teacher has covid my son has been told he still needs to go to school and do lateral Flow tests!!School boy Boris is mitching again

jcyclops · 13/01/2022 22:14

Well, what can you say about a party leader drinking alcohol with colleagues at a party after work, claiming that no rules were broken because it was "in the workplace" when every sensible person knows it was a breach of the rules in place at the time. When it becomes a big issue he claims to be isolating due to Covid and is absent from the House of Commons.

So, Keir Starmer, what's your excuse for attending the booze-up in the Hartlepool constituency office last May before the bi-election, and did you really need to isolate and avoid PM's question time last week?

BJ may now be on the way out, but KS is NOT the solution.

Eleganz · 13/01/2022 22:21

@jcyclops

Deflect away.

Kier Starmer
Communist spies

Anything but Boris and the parties!

DuncinToffee · 13/01/2022 22:22

Ah, what about Labour, ofcourse

@jcyclops Could you help me out with a few more details of this event in Hartlepool. Presumably it was while we were during Step 2 of the roadmap out of lockdown since it was before the by-election. Where was it and how many people attended?

Frankly at this point the muck from my shoe is a preferable solution.

Kier Starmer is not my favourite politician by any stretch, but I'd give my left arm to see him as PM over Boris.

PurpleFlower1983 · 13/01/2022 22:44

@girlmom21

I personally think if he was lying he'd have 'tested positive' yesterday after making a pre-recorded confession rather than going to PMQT.

Nobody assumed Kier was lying when Rayner had to take over after the last party leak happened.

Kier Starmer has far more integrity than Boris that’s why.

About 2004, when Michael Howard sacked him from the shadow front bench for lying about a relationship

July 2019 -
Former Tory leader Lord Howard said that he was “not sure” that he had taken the right decision in 2004 to sack the then shadow junior minister Boris Johnson...

...let me put the record straight on that because much of what’s been said on that isn’t quite accurate.”

“First of all, he wasn’t in the Shadow Cabinet. It’s often said that he lied to me. He didn’t lie to me”

“What happened was that my Director of Communications at the time was convinced that Boris had lied to him, and strongly advised me that I should take the action which I took.”

“I took that action, I’m not entirely sure that I was right to take that action, but I’m happy to set the record straight.”

@Clavinova Good morning. It is lovely to see you post so early in the day, I thought I would have to wait until you clocked in this evening.
On the subject of setting the record straight could you tell us what Oliver Dowden said about outdoor gatherings at the Downing Street briefing on 20th May 2020?

Could you help me out with a few more details of this event in Hartlepool.

I can - in the news today - although it was the Durham constituency office;

SIR KEIR STARMER has been branded "an absolute hypocrite" for attacking Boris Johnson for illegal parties in No10 despite pictures of him drinking with colleagues during lockdown.

www.express.co.uk/news/politics/1549919/keir-starmer-news-labour-party-drinks-lockdown-boris-johnson-partygate

'What moral authority!?' Emily Thornberry savaged over Starmer drinking with activists.

Where was it and how many people attended?

Event was after work on Friday 30th April 2021 at Durham Labour Constituency office. At that time we were in step two of the roadmap out of the third lockdown, with indoor mixing between different households prohibited. You could gather indoors for work but this specifically excluded social gatherings with colleagues. Hospitality venues were closed indoors, with outdoor groups limited to six people or two households and required to be seated to be served food and drink. I don't know how many people attended, but photos (several are available) show at least six enjoying food and drink.

He's hiding in the fucking fridge again, isn't he?
