funinthesun19 · 10/02/2022 13:19

Dithercats · 10/02/2022 15:05

Ilovemychildren123 · 10/02/2022 16:32

@Mum2Two91 when did you first claim how old was your child? I’m claiming for my 2 year old with Hypermobility and global development delay any advice would be greatly received? Also awaiting ASD assessment. Thank you

Ah so really it could be any time soon then for me. My son’s is due to finish on the 25th, so I guess I have about another week or so to wait. Maybe longer…

funinthesun19 · 10/02/2022 17:30

Do they send text messages out telling you the outcome?

Amyxkx · 10/02/2022 19:53

My daughter was awarded when she was 2, almost 3 undiagnosed but was on the pathway for diagnosis she got MCR once she was diagnosed with ASD plus her needs had changed a lot with age she was awarded HCR I’m now awaiting on decision for Mobility component it’s 15 weeks tomorrow since they received the form

Almost identical to my son, waiting on a change for mobility aswell and also on week 15. Good luck!
Amyxkx · 11/02/2022 06:56

Good luck to you too I’ll keep this thread posted x

Ilovemychildren123 · 11/02/2022 07:13

@Amyxkx how much evidence did you provide when your daughter was awarded at 2? I have sent in the letters from the paediatrician which states that the diagnosis at the moment is Hypermobility and global development delay and it states that he is under review for social (ASD) just not sure it is enough

Amyxkx · 11/02/2022 08:24

All’s I had was referral letters, a letter from portage (sessions she was attending) and play plans from nursery, I also had a letter from her paediatrician from her first visit, it stated suspected ASD and that she was being referred to the Neuro pathway for diagnosis that’s how our area come to diagnosis am not sure about other areas, children here are placed on a pathway were they have assessments from different professionals who all decide the outcome x

Ilovemychildren123 · 11/02/2022 08:46

@Amyxkx many thanks for your response we submitted paediatrician assessments and referral letters. We are due our next appointment early March so may have more information to submit to DLA as I called yesterday and they said it is taking 11 weeks from receiving forms so I’m guessing we won’t hear back until end of April

Amyxkx · 11/02/2022 09:38

Your welcome good luck

Ilovemychildren123 · 11/02/2022 09:52

@Amyxkx you too x

Goldenbunny · 11/02/2022 10:26

Our renewal for dd took 10 weeks they didn't look at it until the week after her claim ended.

Ysey2 · 11/02/2022 12:26

@funinthesun19

Do they send text messages out telling you the outcome?
I never had a text, I rang up and they told me over the phone x
MummyOfBoys2022 · 11/02/2022 14:28

@Ysey2 how long did you wait to call if you don't mind me asking?

Dean0074 · 11/02/2022 14:28

I have had a text from they saying it was accepted an should receive a letter in next 2 weeks

Ysey2 · 11/02/2022 14:53
@Ysey2 how long did you wait to call if you don't mind me asking?
His renewal was due 19th Feb, I sent forms off 21st October. I left it until last week and rang pretty much everyday lol x

MummyOfBoys2022 · 11/02/2022 17:55

@Ysey2 oh ok lol, mine is a new claim been told it's taking up to 11 weeks at first and now they said it's taking up to 15 weeks

ListsWonderfulLists · 12/02/2022 20:29

We've been awarded DLA for my DS! So relieved! They said they received my completed form on 23rd Nov so I think that was 11 weeks on Tuesday - to give an idea of timescales for those still waiting. I was hoping I'd hear this week but nothing - no calls or texts. But I've just checked my bank account and I've got over £1300 in back payments! I'm guessing but having looked at the figures I think we've been awarded MRC and LRM which is brilliant. Makes all the form filling and waiting worth it.

Good luck to everyone still waiting.

MummyOfBoys2022 · 12/02/2022 20:56

@ListsWonderfulLists that's great, is that Wolverhampton one? we are on week 9 for my ds hoping we've gave enough evidence my ds hasn't been diagnosed so not got a lot of evidence to go with school filled in there part though so that helps I guess
