@Dizzydream

Well my child was refused so now to start the MR does anyone know how long theyr taking at the moment bloody madness this like my child's ASD is just going to disappear they make no sense at all
Sorry to hear that @Dizzydream. If you would like someone to look over the decisioSmilen letter and your claim form to help you pull together a MR request, feel free to PM me

@Lexy180

I got dla for my son do I have to let child tax know and the council
Yes, child tax credits will increase. If you receive benefits they will disregard the DLA but also give you an extra allowance to offset some of your CTC increase.
Imitatingdory · 07/02/2022 10:46

Mum2Two91 if your focus on trying for HRM is supervision it will be hard to achieve. Other than a couple of exceptions such as as part of a claim under SMI supervision is considered part of LRM. Contact’s booklet is helpful when trying for HRM for DC with LD &/or ASD.

Lexy180 · 07/02/2022 10:48

So they will take it out ur dla for the tax credits

Dizzydream · 07/02/2022 10:53

Thankyou 😊 im not too bad at it I don't think aha my other child has dyspraxia and learning delays among many other things and I had to mr for him twice before he got it so I think I'm OK but will definately bear in mind if I get stuck though its very kind of you x

@Mum2Two91

Hey all, I’m new here, I have a 5 year old (nearly 6) Son who is currently awaiting his Autism diagnosis. He is currently on HRC and LRM I sent off my Sons change of circumstances as his physiotherapist said to try for HRM as he cannot be left alone due to him having no awareness of dangers, she even put in her report that he needs 1:1 supervision at all times etc. I have also sent confirmation of him awaiting his Autism assessment. I have sent different reports stating his needs with mobility etc, he has severe hypermobility too. Has anyone had the same experience as this? We where knocked back last January but my Son had more assessments after last January which is why I have put in the change. Anyone been awarded HRC? Also been waiting since December I am so inpatient haha!
I'm not sure about your HRC question, but there are at least 3 of us on this thread who put in change of circs in the first week of Oct who've not yet heard. So I'm afraid I think it might be a little while for you.

Sjf1398 · 08/02/2022 12:02

Just called and was told that by the end of the week new claims received up to the 29th November should be dealt with, and that new claims are taking 10-11 weeks if anyone else here is still waiting

Raychel1989 · 08/02/2022 12:22

Has anyone heard anything for change of circumstance

Amyxkx · 08/02/2022 12:49

PuddlePip · 08/02/2022 15:11

@Amyxkx

I rang Thursday they was working ok 2nd October
Thank you for updating us about the change of circumstances waiting times. Does anyone know how I go about sending in additional information? Do I have to call up or can I just send it with the reference number and they will match it with the form I've sent?
miracle081216 · 08/02/2022 15:54

@PuddlePip send in post and put reference child’s name and date of birth on each page if more than one page

Dean0074 · 08/02/2022 16:52

This happened to me made a claim back in oct 19th got a letter after Xmas dated 27 December saying they had not made a decision an had a text 8th feb which I was suspicious of getting a text from them does anyone know if it legitimate as I could not get through to them tia

miracle081216 · 08/02/2022 17:04

@Dean0074 yes they send text messages but it depends what the message said as usually it’s only to say you’ve been awarded or that they have received forms

Dean0074 · 08/02/2022 17:07

Yeah it said They had decided it had been my child qualifies then school rang an said they had a call about dla so now I am thinking does he have it or not surly they would do the checks before they awarded it now I don’t know what to think

Murgy2b · 08/02/2022 17:17

Hi wondered if anyone can help as I'm so confused, I received a phone call from dla for my sons mandatory reconsideration after he asked me lots of question he told me my son has been awarded low mobility rate and day rate care, I'm unsure what days rate is whether its low or middle care? Does anyone know? I did ask him but he talked about the rates but never actually answered the question so I'm confused 🤔
For anyone waiting on a reconsideration I've just waited 3 and a half weeks.
Fingers crossed for you all

LizzieLoulabell · 09/02/2022 05:45

Hi my sons claim in and was recived 10/12/21 I got a letter the start of the week basically saying their still dealing with it and keep waiting. Has anyone else had a extra letter?

Sjf1398 · 09/02/2022 09:15

Hi @LizzieLoulabell they received my claim 15/12/21 and I received the same letter dated 31/01/22. I’ve been told my claim will take another 2-3 weeks, so I’d say your looking at another 2 weeks yourself.

LizzieLoulabell · 09/02/2022 09:46

@Sjf1398 thank you. I guessed it wouldn’t be much longer. Hopefully they are able to get though the back log soon.

Dithercats · 09/02/2022 16:36

@Lexy180
Phone tax credits. You get extra money when your child has DLA for a 'disability element'. You don't loose anything.

Amyxkx · 10/02/2022 12:13

Hey everyone, anyone rang this past week? Anyone know what day they working on for change of circumstances?
