Lexy180 · 31/01/2022 12:02

miracle081216 · 31/01/2022 12:21

@Mumof406 surely it’s got to be this week for you!! X

Raychel1989 · 31/01/2022 12:32

Mumof406 · 31/01/2022 12:33

Fingers crossed, feel like I'm losing all hope but will wait and see x

Lexy180 · 31/01/2022 13:33

There working on the 11th week now they said coz they got mine on the 16th of November mine will be looked at this week

Myfab421 · 31/01/2022 14:53

Mine was received on the 16th too, and the senco from school just emailed me to say that dla had tried to ring her but she missed the call, they left a number but she said the number is not connecting so asked if I had a number for them, so hopefully we should hear this week.

Lexy180 · 31/01/2022 15:03

Hope so coz I hate waiting

Mumof406 · 31/01/2022 15:47

If it goes by the senco at school we have no hope, my son started secondary in September had 4 weeks signed off sick by the doctors, has been on a reduced time table since bit the school don't seem to understand his needs and we are going round in circles.

Myfab421 · 31/01/2022 16:37

@Mumof406 I’m not holding much hope either as in school my child is ok except for being three years behind, but at home is where I get the meltdowns, sleepless nights, trouble dressing and showering her, I do have good contact with school though but senco can’t prove the troubles I have at home, so I just have to wait and see, perhaps they contact whoever filled the part in on the form because senco done mine, good luck though x

Mumof406 · 31/01/2022 16:45

@Myfab421 that's similar to mine but academically above for a lot but behind in English, home life is tough at times and my other 3, 2 older 1 younger are suffering as they don't understand why at home is difficult. No one filled the form in just me, I did attach a letter from the pediatrician he's been under since he was 6, he's now 11 and started secondary school.

Myfab421 · 31/01/2022 16:52

@Mumof406 I know it is hard trying to prove everything, I did send a letter aswell stating that she is on the waiting list to be assessed for autism and a letter from Camhs that she was seeing a nurse to help with coping strategies with anxiety, my daughter is 9, awww bless you son because it is hard to get the right help and support that would benefit you son and the rest of the household, just seems a fight to get help for anything, but keep positive and I hope you get everything he and you as a family deserve. X

miracle081216 · 31/01/2022 17:09

Don’t lose hope! My daughter is waiting to be diagnosed she copes really well in school and like a few of you have said the struggle is at home! The only evidence I had was a camhs letter stating what issues I have at home and the phone number for school senco and she was awarded! 🤞

miracle081216 · 31/01/2022 17:12

My part to be filled out on form was blank as Senco was off with covid and I had left it until last minute to finish filling form in. Keep the hope lovelies x

Mumof406 · 31/01/2022 17:30

Thankyou both, camhs said they don't have enough sessions to offer my son as he needs more than they offer so we've been left in the dark, we appealed a ehcp decision went to tribunal and won so waiting on the assesment so didn't have much evidence at the time as still going through, he has a diagnosis of selective mutism and social anxiety disorder which I did have a letter stating. Hopefuy we will all hear with positive outcomes for our children. It's another battle for the needs of our children which is why we fight. Good luck @Myfab421 and thankyou @miracle081216

miracle081216 · 31/01/2022 17:37

@Mumof406 yes camhs said no to my daughter that she didn’t need it!! I was furious we don’t have EHCP so from what you’ve said you should be fine with your claim. Thinking of you all everyday waiting for updates on here ❤️

52andblue · 31/01/2022 17:40
@Lougle oh phew I hope that’s the case. I hate things like that, not sure how my daughter would cope tbh with an assessment with a stranger!
You can request to speak on their behalf. I did with my ASD son. Request granted, spoke to me for an hour. This was transfer from child DLA to adult PIP (a nightmare, as totally different)
Whole thing took 11 months. Award was increased but I lost sleep over it.

Imitatingdory · 31/01/2022 17:57

mumof406 make sure all the correct advice is sought as part of the EHCNA, and request psychiatrist &/or CP assessment. It is possible to get MH therapies and interventions written into section F of the EHCP so it must be provided.

miracle you can apply for an EHCNA yourself. IPSEA have a model letter you can use.

miracle081216 · 31/01/2022 18:44

@Imitatingdory I did it was rejected and I lost on the appeal too but thank you ❤️

Mumof406 · 31/01/2022 18:53

@Imitatingdory thankyou, thats very helpful information.

Sheryl1234 · 31/01/2022 19:56

Mumof406 · 01/02/2022 06:27
