Ionsion · 26/12/2021 18:19

I got a Swarovski tennis bracelet, a framed print is mentioned to him ages ago that he must made a note of at the time and some jammies. I got him a nice present this year too but we don’t always bother this much and some years we’ve agreed not to bother at all.

Palegreenstars · 26/12/2021 18:20

Cosy trousers, cosy fleece, bracelet from a jeweller he knows I like and a traditional trip to the book shop. Dreamy. He is the best present buyer - puts me to shame.

HintofVintagePink · 26/12/2021 18:20

Hunter wellies and socks
Dior perfume
Escape to the chateau book
L’Oréal beauty set
Necklace
Curling wand
The Ordinary set

Quite a lot, but some were from the DC

A new computer chair as I've been using one of the dining table chairs since the cat wee'd on my old one. So useful and thoughtful (as he got a very fancy one). And new headphones with an attached mic for when I play among us with my friends, another thoughtful present. Better than previous years.

ShakespearesSisters · 26/12/2021 18:21

Some hand made soaps, a bottle of chambord and a rechargeable, weatherproof work lamp. While not very pretty, I was quiet excited about the lamp and know it will get lots of use.

ChangeAndHelp · 26/12/2021 18:21

I asked for nothing as I just had a birthday and we are moving soon and I really didn’t want any more stuff. I got home a pair of socks and he got me a. Milk bath from Weleda - it was more that the kids gave me something wrapped up.

Absolutely happy with this. I got other gifts which arrived past my birthday.

We’ve done Secret Santa for years now with bigger family - it really takes the stress out of the ‘obligatory’ gift buying.

Christmas did feel a bit more dimmed - even more so than last year. But really, it’s about coming together and being kind. Everything thing else should be a bonus.

Doesntfeellikexmas · 26/12/2021 18:21

Marc Jacobs 'Perfect' and a diamond and Sapphire ring.

I absolutely love them. But my best gift has been his amazing support during my families Bereavement.

AcrossthePond55 · 26/12/2021 18:21

Phone case for my iPhone, watch covers for my Apple Watch, really cozy slippers from LL Bean.

We both tend to be 'practical' with each other at Xmas and don't spend tonnes on each other (so we can spend it on the family and for 'celebrating' in general). We save the 'splurge' or 'statement' gifts for birthdays and our anniversary.

LadyExpecting93 · 26/12/2021 18:22

Next Pjs, GHd straightening brush, jelly beans from Costco, jumper from next I asked. Really thankful but no surprises, I gave him all the ideas

MajorCarolDanvers · 26/12/2021 18:22

sparepantsandtoothbrush · 26/12/2021 18:22

@XiCi

We decided to just do stockings for each other this year. I got perfume, Charlotte Tilbury make up set, my fave Molton brown shower gel, a necklace I've wanted for a while, a couple of books, my favourite chocolates, a photography sphere lens and some crypto currency.
Lmao at those being stocking fillers 😂
Benjispruce5 · 26/12/2021 18:23

I like my presents but I not bothered anymore.

OlympicProcrastinator · 26/12/2021 18:23

Tickets to see Pretty Woman the musical
Waterstone voucher
Lingerie
Custom made trainers with my initials on.

Number 3 was clearly more for him than me but as he got the others right I smiled sweetly and thanked him. Grin

whojamaflip · 26/12/2021 18:23

A wool duvet that I have been lusting after for the last 12 months - turns out he does listen! 😂 and a pair of new slippers as my old ones were held together with duct tape! 😳

wineandsunshine · 26/12/2021 18:24

A new mattress and an ESPA gift set ❤️

dannyboyle · 26/12/2021 18:24

Wheelbarrow

helenabonhamfarter · 26/12/2021 18:24

Nordic socks
Aspinal pouch/large clutch
Aspiga Fairisle merino wool jumper
Chocolate orange!

multivac · 26/12/2021 18:25

@Cap89

A novel that he picked that he thought I’d like. We agreed to only buy each other a book, but rule was we had to think about it, do some research and pick something that would really appeal to the other one. Very little money in this house this year so it was a great way to do a cheap but meaningful gift.
I really love this idea ❤️
ChangeAndHelp · 26/12/2021 18:25

@Thingsthatgo I’m really curious now - can you tell us more? You sound really excited and I am slightly envious.

We’re just finally moving into our own home - so owning art is years away for us, if ever, since we are already old!

MrsDThomas · 26/12/2021 18:27

Nothing. We’ve never bought each other a Christmas present. Absolutely no point.

Avoids the disappointment of receiving shite.

MoonlightFancy · 26/12/2021 18:28

A car! To explain, we aren’t well off but he’s been putting money away all year to get me a cheap runaround so I have my own vehicle again. One of his family members was selling their car so he snapped it up, as I had been fawning over it since they bought it years and years ago. Over the moon!

"Just" stockings 😂

Thankfully mine has never bought me ‘shite’ and I’ve never been disappointed because he knows me and what I like Xmas Smile
BalladOfBarryAndFreda · 26/12/2021 18:29

He got me what I asked for.

I’m sorry you were disappointed with your gift, OP. Flowers. Had you given him hints?

Figgyboa · 26/12/2021 18:30

Chloe perfume, uggs, smart watch and we got engaged. Total surprise, best xmas day ever!
