I knew he was getting them so got me a nice bobble hat, matching gloves and a new purse.

Loved everything he got me, as he has form for getting extremely dire gifts over the years.

Lovely pjs, cosy socks & a book. Did need a steer from DD but happy with gifts this year ☺

Brilliant gifts. Really brilliant. Would be very outing if I said what, but they're all things that I would definitely have bought myself and are very much treats

Nothing but got me a mandolin for wedding anniversary on the 16th.... I know!

We only do a stocking so:
Ugg slippers
Chocolates
Socks
Diary
Shampoo bar
Face cream
If we want anything big, we would buy it ourselves tbh although I was dropping hints for a pandora charm that he did not pick up on!!

How big are your stockings?! And surely a Pandora charm is more likely to fit in a stocking than Ugg slippers? What makes a Pandora charm a ‘big’ present and Ugg slippers a ‘small’ present?

I bought the other half, it was our gift to each other, we normally treat ourselves to something for the house or garden, that we both want, and this year, it was a spaniel ❤️)

How do we know OP didn't like her candle? If he is on £100k a year a candle is a bit mean. Maybe that's a really luxurious gift. Some candles are fucking ridiculous money.

Ghd platinum straighteners which I asked for and Google pixel airbuds that I mentioned in passing that I wanted at some point but didn't expect him to get for me too. So nice surprise.

A Taylor Swift calendar for the 8th year in a row - I love her. And nothing else until he reminded me we’ve ordered ourselves a new TV and we agreed that would be our Christmas present to each other.

We were both struggling with back to back illnesses and things on the run up to Christmas so a bit more "I'd like this please" and fewer surprises but I got a bracelet and earrings (that I'd chosen), some CDs and a cookery book and spices that he knew I'd like. Then I had some gin miniatures, nail varnish, chocolate and a new gorgeous glasses case in my stocking.

You could argue what's the point when it isn't a surprise but we think it's good for DD to see people giving each other presents. We encouraged her to choose little gifts for each other and for her grandparents for the same reason.

DH's presents from me weren't much more inspired - a couple of t-shirts, a computer game, a miniature screw driver set he'd asked for, some music and a case of his favourite beer. And his stocking was largely chocolate and Christmas socks!

Jo Malone perfume, a new camera bag, a water flosser and some books. Very happy.

A very nice bottle of whisky. Only been together 6 months and I was curious to see what he'd get, pleasantly surprised! He'd listened as it was one I like, he'd obviously put some research into it and it was after a convo about how much he hates it and I mentioned that I love a nice bottle and hadn't had one for years.
He's ace bless him.
